EMF and Ecce Shnak began our tour in the birthplace of Ecce Shnak (Philadelphia — continued and eternal props @nikkilopez) and ended it a town away from where our Davey (composer, bassist, baritone) was born: Hamden, CT. Oh yeah and sweet drummer Henry got to do the friqq’n lights for EMF, helping all in attendance “Reach for the Lasers!”

And we had the joyous opportunity to play Davey’s homage to ska music and his precious friend Rebecca (@swirlingmassofchaos), “Spooky, Ruudplaad Homegirl” *for* Rebecca! Even crazier, we got to play it with local ska hero (ska patriarch? Skatriarch? 🙄😩😑😒😏💪🏻🤓💪🏻😉🎺🎷🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🏁), the most distinguished Chris Rhodes, who is currently in Spring Heeled Jack and has played in the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Bim Skala Bim, and the Toasters. He is untag-gable on here because he’s the shot-clock, way above the game! Hamden is also a city away from both Chris’s birthplace and (again) our Davey’s birthplace: New Haven! Davey probably heard “Unbelievable” with Rebecca in the parking lot of the Space when they were tiny 13/14-year-old pumpkins and the Space was a beautiful 120-square-foot walk-in-closet-sized meeting place for open mics.What’s up, Roman poet Ovid? You said it well when you said that reality is little if anything more than “Changes changing their changes endlessly!”
