We are growing in Dubai!

Despite unrest in the region, this week we officially opened our new 30,000 sqm warehouse in Jebel Ali Free Zone, strengthening our presence in one of the world’s most important trade and logistics hubs.

With high-bay storage, temperature-controlled zones, dangerous goods areas and space for value-added services, the warehouse enables us to support customers with complex and fast-changing supply chains even better. The facility has also been designed to meet LEED Silver standards and incorporates energy-efficient systems and environmentally responsible construction practices.

Chrys Mendonca, Managing Director, Contract Logistics, Dubai, says:

“I’m excited to open this state-of-the-art facility expanding our capabilities to serve both our regional and global customers. Even in a period of unrest and uncertainty in parts of the Middle East, we are expanding capacity because we trust the region’s long-term growth and the UAE’s role as a gateway for global trade.”

See how it looked as we inaugurated the facility earlier this week ⬆️

What does it take to keep global trade moving?

It takes partnership from the very beginning, being there for the important decisions, going that extra mile to connect an ever-changing world, and anticipating and innovating on what’s to come – yesterday, today and tomorrow.

This is what we’ve been doing for the past five decades, and it’s what we will continue to do, to ensure that we keep supply chains flowing.

Together with Volvo Autonomous Solutions, DSV is taking an important step towards integrating autonomous transport into its United States line-haul network.

Our long standing collaboration with Volvo is now entering an exciting new phase, as we are operating a depot-to-depot setup on a high-frequency route between Dallas,Fort Worth and Houston, Texas.

The setup is designed for scheduled terminal to terminal transport, with DSV handling the first and last mile, while Volvo leads route selection and vehicle deployment.

“Our ambition with autonomous trucking is very pragmatic,” says Helmut Schweighofer, CEO, DSV Road. “For us, this is about improving safety, addressing the growing driver shortage in line haul transport and increasing efficiency.”

Starting in controlled corridors across Texas, Arizona, Georgia and Oklahoma, the collaboration reflects a broader and positive shift in logistics. The objective is optimisation, using autonomy where it can deliver measurable improvements in safety, asset utilisation and network efficiency.

Join us on the journey of a 554 tonne and a 286 tonne transport for ORLEN.

The cargo consisted of two petrochemical columns weighing a combined 840 tonnes: a 554-tonne concentration tower, as tall as a 30-story building, and a 286-tonne C4 column, with the larger unit weighing the equivalent of 369 passenger cars.

DSV managed the entire transport journey end to end, from collection in China through to final delivery in Poland. The Project Logistics team of DSV in Korea handled all commercial and contractual responsibilities and coordinated the sea freight, while local teams in Poland oversaw every stage of the transport from the Port of Gdańsk onwards, via inland waterways to the city of Płock, and finally by road to the project site.

So, how did we make it happen?

After arriving in Gdańsk, the columns were transshipped onto barges and completed a five-day inland journey along the Vistula River, widely known as the last major unregulated, “wild” river in the EU. Choosing to move during the narrow spring thaw window proved decisive, as shortly after the transport was completed, water levels dropped below navigable limits.

One of the greatest challenges arose during transshipment at the river port in Płock. Using hydraulic lifting and a skidding technique, where cargo is carefully slid into position in controlled steps, the columns were transferred with millimetre precision. The operation was supported by reinforced quay infrastructure and riverbed preparation carried out by divers to safely manage the extreme loads.

The 554 tonne column was delivered first, followed by the 286 tonne unit, completing the project in line with schedule and the highest safety standards, in just a month.

50 years of keeping supply chains flowing – and we’re just getting started!

Back in 1976, when 10 independent Danish hauliers founded DSV, none of them could’ve imagined where the future would take their newly established business.

Today, half a century later, DSV has grown to be much more than a local haulier. With operations in more than 90 countries, we now play an important role in keeping global trade moving by supporting our customers, going the extra mile to connect an ever-changing world and anticipating what lies ahead.

We’ve come this far thanks to the expertise and dedication of every colleague who has been part of shaping our company. But let’s be clear: the growth doesn’t stop here. With our strong foundation and unwavering commitment to keep improving, we’ll continue to embrace whatever change comes our way – and we can’t wait to see where the future will take us!

This year, as we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we are honouring our legacy. Denmark is the place where it all started, so what better setting to commemorate our journey than in Copenhagen Airport, one of Denmark’s key gateways to the world, where global journeys begin and international business converges? Because sometimes, it takes a small country to keep the world connected ⬆️

A moment of change: One of our trucks is transitioning from Schenker to DSV.

Here’s a small behind the scenes look at what integration means in day to day operations.
This video, filmed in Barcelona, Spain, shows one of the many practical steps happening across our network: the rebranding of a truck. It’s a visible part of a much larger process as we align fleets, systems and standards while keeping our services running smoothly. Across the globe, we are deand rebranding around 25,000 Schenker vehicles, from trailers and trucks to vans and even cargo bikes. Nearly 75% of the fleet has already been updated, with around 6,000 units still to go.

This truck represents both where we’ve come from and where we’re heading. It’s a symbol of experience meeting new opportunities - and of different teams coming together under a shared global identity. Because rebranding is never just a new colour or a new logo, it’s a reflection of the people behind it. Behind every logo are the individuals who drive our journey forward, every single day.

DSV is welcoming the next generation of Supply Chain Leaders in Basel.

We are proud to host around 80 ESSEC students at the Hafenmuseum Basel, giving them a behind-the-scenes look into DSV and the unique port logistics operations at Switzerland’s most important inland hub.

ESSEC is recognised as one of France’s leading schools for sourcing and supply chain education, and its specialised program, the MS® in International Purchasing & Supply Chain Management (GAISC), was recently ranked #1 worldwide in the QS Business Masters Ranking – Supply Chain 2025. Many of these young professionals are already working with our customers across the luxury, beauty, and fashion sectors, making today’s exchange not only about future talent, but about collaboration that’s already happening.

"At DSV, we believe logistics moves forward when the next generation brings curiosity and fresh perspectives, gained through firsthand experience with real world challenges and innovation, an approach we are committed to supporting,” says Saskia Blochberger, Group CPO at DSV.

Why Basel? Where intermodal logistics becomes a case study. Basel is a unique logistics hub where river, road, and rail must work seamlessly together, not by choice, but by necessity. With no direct access to the ocean, Switzerland depends on resilient and highly coordinated intermodal solutions. During their visit, the students experienced firsthand how DSV designs and operates these flows: how cargo moves from barge to truck to rail, how we build resilience into inland supply chains.

We also highlighted operational realities in Basel, from handling liquid cargo and ensuring safety to managing disruptions caused by fluctuating water levels. Empowering young talents with real-world perspectives today lays the foundation for the global supply chains that will move our industry forward tomorrow.

It’s been a busy but exciting start to the year for us!

In addition to continuing our work on the integration of Schenker, Q1 2026 has presented some great opportunities for us to move our business forward and connect with customers, partners and peers in different contexts.

Check out some of the moments that characterised the quarter at DSV ⬆️

📷 1: Having entered the year of our 50th anniversary, we brought together +300 executives from across our network for a global leadership summit to kick-off the work to shape the future of DSV.

📷 2: As the Official Logistics Partner for Porsche Motorsport North America (PMNA), we made sure that 42 high-performance race cars were transported safely from Germany to the U.S. ahead of the 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup North America.

📷 3: We completed the legal integration of our road freight operations in China, marking a major step in strengthening our global road network and bringing us closer to our customers in one of the world’s most dynamic logistics markets.

📷 4: We’ve officially broken ground on our new regional headquarters in Mesa, Arizona, strengthening our ability to support customers across key industries in the U.S. Southwest.

📷 5: This year’s TPM conference in Long Beach, California, provided an excellent opportunity for our teams to engage with customers, partners and peers on the key developments taking place in the sea freight market.

📷 6: We have signed a strategic partnership with NIO through which we will support NIO’s advanced manufacturing plants with integrated, full-process logistics solutions.

📷 7: At Forum Automobillogistik (FAL26) in Germany, Helmut Schweighofer, CEO of our Road Division, delivered a keynote speech capturing the rapid change of the automotive industry.

Providing transports that save lives ✈️

We recently donated another in-kind flight through our partnership with UNICEF – this time supporting the delivery of emergency medical supplies to Lebanon.

The shipment contained critical medical supplies for UNICEF and WHO to support hospitals, primary healthcare centres and mobile health units that provide care to children and families affected by the escalating situation. These supplies will help sustain essential services such as trauma care, maternal and newborn care as well as treatment of acute and infectious conditions for approximately 500,000 people over a three-month period.

All of the supplies were shipped from UNICEF’s global supply and logistics hub in Copenhagen. This included 3.5 metric tonnes of supplies from the European Union stockpile hosted at the hub delivered to WHO in Lebanon and 32.5 metric tonnes of UNICEF supplies mobilised from its own stocks for UNICEF in Lebanon.

We’re proud to support UNICEF’s humanitarian response and their ongoing efforts to ensure that children and families in areas affected by crisis can access lifesaving healthcare when it is needed most.
