She was seven years old when the world started watching. What nobody accounted for was that she would keep going, keep growing, and eventually outgrow every single box they tried to put her in. Maddie Ziegler is no longer the dancer you think you know. She is an actress, a collaborator, a young woman who has spent years proving herself in an industry that was slow to let her move forward.
Pretty Lethal, now on Prime Video, is her favourite role to date. Five ballerinas leading an action film, a real depiction of a dancer’s life on screen, something she says she wishes she could go back and do all over again just to be with her cast. There is also a Netflix holiday film arriving before the end of the year, which means people are about to see a side of her they have not seen before.

There are houses that evolve, and houses that endure. Chanel has always been the latter. In over a century, only four people have held its creative direction. That is not a statistic. That is a statement of how seriously this house takes itself, and how carefully it moves.
When @matthieu_blazy Blazy walked out at the Grand Palais last October, in jeans and a t-shirt, to a standing ovation, something shifted. His first collection for Spring/Summer 2026 did not attempt to erase what came before. It went further back, all the way to Gabrielle herself: the shirts she borrowed from her lovers, the tweed she wore on her own terms, the bag left open because she had a life to live and no time for fuss.

That is the thing about Chanel at its best. It was never really about clothes. It was about the kind of person who knew exactly who they were, and dressed accordingly.
