Somewhere in Nicaragua📍

I’ve envisioned a trip like this for a while…

Traveling the world, scoring uncrowded waves with your best friends, and creating amazing memories; this has always been a dream of mine.

Through 5 years of undergraduate school, 3 years of chiropractic school, and 3.5 years of a post-doctoral fellowship in athletic injuries and human performance, I’ve been able to secure a dream profession and now live that dream lifestyle of making a trip like this happen.

Living that life is possible. If you can dream it, speak it into reality, and work your ass off, anything is possible.

So what’s your dream?

Are you willing to live your life in alignment to manifest that dream into reality?

Nasal Specific Cranial Work.

A small balloon is inserted into the nasal passages and is quickly inflated and deflated. This is performed four times on each side of the nasal passages. By pressurizing the inside of the cranium, the small bones of the skull are expanded. This expansion unlocks the sutures and chambers within the skull to normal function. The NSCW is by no means a cure-all. For patients who have the below-mentioned conditions, the procedure can be miraculous.

Trauma to the face, head, or neck, including in the birth process, can often cause the Cranial plates to shift or lock resulting in increased cranial tension, pressure on the brain, and altered blood and cerebrospinal fluid flow. The effects range from mild allergies to severe mental and physical disabilities.

Conditions commonly helped with Nasal Specific:
• Allergies
• Chronic Sinus Infections
• Deviated Septum’s
• Learning & Informational Processing Problems
• Poor Memory and Concentration
• Sinusitis
• ADD / ADHD
• Snoring / Sleep Apnea
• Depression
• Headaches / Migraines
• Poor Balance
• Dizziness
• Recurring Ear Infections
• Anxiety & Nervousness
• TMJ Dysfunction
• Insomnia
• Hearing Loss
• Neck & Back Pain
• Post-Traumatic Brain Injury
• Epilepsy
• Post Brain Surgery
• Fatigue
• Dyslexia
• Birth Trauma
• Concussions

Mahalo @hawaiisurfandperformance for giving me the opportunity to share this work with you and the team. I’ve been working with Coach Kahea for over 5 years now. It has been a cool experience to take what I’ve been learning, and go back home every winter to share with him and the best surfers in the world, what this work, along with the @a.m.i.t.method, can do for accelerating healing and boosting performance. More to come 🤙🏽

Gratitude.

This is the resounding feeling that I have for these two men, who have together, changed the course of my life. I never thought I would live in Utah, let alone live anywhere away from the ocean. I vividly remember laughing at how absurd the idea was when I was younger. Oh how life can unfold…

In the center of the photo is Dr. Kelly R Farmer, one of my best friends that I met at @life_west chiropractic school. We quickly became friends, starting in the same cohort of January 2018, and throughout our time, he was always there for me, having my back. He pushed me in school to strive for greatness, to expand my comfort zone, to have a “can do attitude” and to just “get after it”. When I had skate or surf injuries, he would treat me, helping me bounce back to continue to do what I love. At the time, he was learning the @a.m.i.t.method work, and using it on me. I felt the power of this work, which ultimately planted the seed for me to want to learn it myself one day.

On the left of the photo is Dr. Craig F Buhler, my dear mentor and the developer of the @a.m.i.t.method . When I graduated chiropractic school, in Dec 2020, Kelly was doing his preceptorship with Dr. Buhler at Buhler Athletic Injures and Human Performance Clinic. Through a series of events, a position opened up in the office for a new doctor to do a 3 year postdoctoral fellowship. Kelly, being Kelly, he pushed me to apply for it and to have a conversation with Dr. Buhler. What started as a 20 minute zoom conversation, quickly turned into a job offer, followed by the question, “when can you be in Utah?” Within a few days, I was on a plane, leaving Hawaii, and off on a new adventure.

Reverse Archer might be one of my favorite @foundationtraining Training movements for surfers.

As surfers, we spend years rotating in the same direction, loading the same hip, same shoulder, same neck patterns over and over again.

For me, doing the Reverse Archer in switch stance helps “untwist” my body from the position I constantly surf in.

I feel:• better thoracic rotation• less tension through my shoulders and neck• improved movement through my spine• activation and lengthening through my back-leg glute

Sometimes I’ll even feel my thoracic spine adjust naturally during the movement.

Surfing creates asymmetry. You need movements that restore balance back into the system.

That’s a huge part of longevity.

Year 2 completion of the @chekinstitute

I’m beyond grateful to have mentors like @paul.chek and @ravenwellness in my life—sharing their wisdom and giving me the tools to help heal the world. My dad always said, “Success leaves clues” and also, “Be careful with who you take advice from.” It’s advice that rings more and more true as I get older.

During my post-doctorate fellowship in Utah, honing the @a.m.i.t.method with Dr. Craig Buhler, I started to learn how the organs can affect the somatic function of the body (meaning the ability for muscles to work properly) if there’s stress within a specific organ. This is referred to as a viscerosomatic response. It was amazing to witness Dr. Buhler work his magic, resolving these issues by influencing the nervous system while also utilizing acupressure to work with the reflexes and energetic highways of the body—composed via the Chinese medicine meridians. This quickly became an invitation to learn more.

At that time, I was living with my buddy @andrewjohnsonft , who would talk nonstop about Paul Chek (mahalo for the introduction, brother). I remember thinking, Who the f is this “Paul Chek” Andrew keeps talking about?! Over time, through repeated conversations, I gave Paul a follow and began digesting his content—quickly finding that he was describing exactly what I was seeing with Dr. Buhler, but through a different approach to addressing the human body. Intuitively, I knew I needed to dive headfirst into Paul’s @chekinstitute academy to learn more. It was the same intuitive pull I had to go to chiropractic school or to move to Utah for 3.5 years for my fellowship.

With 2 years in as of now, I’m starting to understand the bigger picture of healthcare and life. There’s still so much more to learn—but that’s the beauty of this journey we call life. Embrace it. Listen to your intuition. Enjoy the ride. And honor yourself, so that you can honor others and the world.

Some dreams live inside you for years before they finally take shape. This van is one of mine.

It’s more than a project — it’s a vessel for freedom, a reminder to live in alignment, and a space to create what I’ve always envisioned.

For me, it’s not just about building out a camper. It’s about carving out a lifestyle that blends service, surf, and stoke — serving the people of Hawaiʻi through health and healing while chasing waves that call me to rise to my highest potential.

This is just the beginning. Every bolt, every board, every moment is part of the bigger picture. Grateful to finally set this dream in motion. ✨
