🎭 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 (𝐃𝐨𝐒𝐄𝐋) 🎭

𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 (𝐃𝐨𝐒𝐄𝐋) is a cooperation project, co-financed by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.

It aims to increase the international recognition and accessibility of dramatic works originally written in smaller European languages and encourage their more frequent staging through translation of drama texts, translation workshops and artistic residencies and showcasing performances created in smaller European languages at two international theatre platforms (the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐨𝐒𝐄𝐋 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 athe 𝟓𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚 in Kranj, a 𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 at Cankarjev Dom Cultural Centre in Ljubljana, and 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 in Valletta, Malta). 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟎 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬, 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭. At the end of the project, a collection of 𝟐𝟒 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚 𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐬 will be published. 

The DoSEL partners are: 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬̌𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐊𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐣 from Slovenia (leader of the project), the 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐮 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐚 - 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 from Malta, 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐚 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐳𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐚 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐞 from Bilbao, Basque Country and Sala Beckett from Barcelona, Catalunia, the 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐞 in Zagreb, Croatia, the 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲, the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐨𝐬𝐨𝐯𝐨 from Prishtina, and 𝐈𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐕𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐯 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐞 from Sofia, Bulgaria.

Teatri Kombëtar i Kosovës në “DoSEL-Drama of Smaller European Languages” - Drama e Gjuhëve më të Vogla Evropiane Showcase në Valleta, Maltë 🇲🇹

Nga 16–22 prill 2026, Teatri Kombëtar i Kosovës mori pjesë si partner në kuadër të projektit dyvjeçar “DoSEL”, në Showcase-in e organizuar nga National Agency for the Performing Arts Malta dhe Teatru Malta në Valleta.

Përveç shfaqjeve, u organizuan lexime të përbashkëta, diskutime dhe reflektime mbi rolin e përkthimit sot, përfshirë edhe ndikimin e inteligjencës artificiale.

Në ditën e katërt u mbajt sesioni i leximit skenik të dramave të përkthyera në kuadër të projektit. Nga Kosova u lexua drama “Udhëtimi i Familjes Bosh në Unmikistan” e autorit Jeton Neziraj, e cila është përkthyer në gjuhën spanjishte nga María Roces González dhe në gjuhën baske nga Izaskun Gracia Quintana, një bashkëpunim në mes të Teatrit Kombëtar të Kosovës dhe International Arriaga Theatre Bilbao. Ky bashkëpunim erdhi si vazhdim i “Translation Workshop” të mbajtur në prill 2025 në Bilbao, ku morën pjesë autori dhe përkthyeset.

Projekti “DoSEL” është në vitin e dytë, të fundit të implementimit, ndërsa përmbyllja zyrtare do të mbahet në tetor 2026 në Zagreb, Kroaci, ku gjithashtu do të bëhet publikimi i dramave të përkthyera që do të botohen.

Edicioni i parë i “DoSEL” u zhvillua në Kranj, Slloveni, në mars 2025, në kuadër të edicionit të 55-të të “Javës së Dramës Sllovene”, ku Teatri Kombëtar i Kosovës mori pjesë me shfaqjen “Kamarja e Turpit” me autor Ismail Kadare, me dramatizim të Doruntina Basha dhe regji të Kushtrim Koliqit.

Teatri Kombëtar i Kosovës u përfaqësua nga Koordinatorja e Projektit, Dramaturgja Zoga Çeta Çitaku dhe Zyrtarja për Komunikim, Rrita Reka.
