Discover Moab
You've never experienced anything like Moab.
Planning a weekend trip to Moab? 🏜️ Here are some top insider tips to make your holiday weekend trip to Moab as smooth as possible!
1️⃣ Buy your pass early: Snag it online or in town at the Moab Information Center to breeze through the gates.
2️⃣ Check the entrance webcam: Check the live feed before you head out to map out the best time to arrive.
3️⃣ Time it right: Beat the rush by arriving before 7AM (hello, sunrise!) or after 2 PM for that gorgeous golden hour glow.
4️⃣ Have a Plan B: Remember, Arches isn’t the only reason to visit. If the park is packed, pivot to nearby gems like Canyonlands National Park, Dead Horse Point State Park, or the beautiful Corona Arch hike. Beyond the parks, you can take a stunning scenic drive along Scenic Byway 128, go shopping, or just relax and hang by the pool. There is so much to see and do here!

Double O Arch is one of the funkiest arches we've seen! It's accessible along the Devils Garden Primitive Trail in Arches National Park, a challenging, 8 mile loop starting at the Devils Garden trailhead. Out-and-back to Double O Arch is roughly 4 miles.
Our tips for hiking the Primitive Trail:
- Arrive early! You'll want time to complete this trail.
- Check the weather and dress accordingly.
- Bring extra water, and consider bringing a lunch!

It’s hard to capture the scale and beauty of Corona Arch in a photo or video. Corona is a popular landmark, accessible from a 3 mile (round trip) hike.
The arch stands 105 feet tall, and 140 feet wide! In the 1980s and 90s, pilot Tim Martin flew planes through the arch - which is now illegal.

Weekend plans anyone?
Dirt biking is an amazing way to explore the greater Moab area beyond the nearby national parks. Guides can show you the ropes (meet this guide family in our Who Is Moab series - link in bio!) and set up your gear - or, if you’re experienced, you can rent a bike in town and do your own exploring.

In awe of the Milky Way as it rose over Delicate
Arch 🌌
On the first night of my road trip through Utah, I decided to leave Moab at 1am in the morning to hike up to Delicate Arch to photograph the Milky Way. I was the only one up there and for about 3 hours I watched as the Milky Way slowly rose above the horizon and positioned itself behind delicate arch.
Some of the clearest night skies I’ve seen, what a spectacular sight!

Sunrise from Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park 🏜️
I arrived about 30 minutes before sunrise, and this spot was already packed with photographers! But despite the crowds, Mesa Arch left me in awe. As the sun rises over the distant mountains, the light reflects off the rocks onto the underside of the arch and casts a deep red hue. Pair that with a perfect sun star and you’ve got a winning image!
Much more to come as I road trip through @visitutah…
