Innovation in Defence doesn’t happen in silos ✈️

It happens when need, research and industry capability come together.

DSTG, Macquarie University and Australian industry partner PLEXSYS Australia Pty Ltd are showing the power of an integrated ecosystem -using AI agents to potentially enhance training for RAAF air battle managers in complex, high pressure environments.

This work didn’t emerge overnight. It was enabled by targeted investment and sustained collaboration across Defence innovation pathways, and is now being further matured through the Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator (ASCA).

As #ADSTAR26 approaches (4-6 August, Adelaide), this collaboration is a powerful reminder that ecosystems, not organisations, drive capability at speed.

🌊 For over 20 years, Bluelink has helped the Australian Defence Force read the oceans like a map.

By transforming raw data into global ocean forecasts, Bluelink gives Navy crews the insight they need to plan routes, understand shifting currents, and optimise sonar performance - including avoiding counter-detection. Bluelink provides a suite of modelling capabilities and data products to help our personnel understand, anticipate and exploit the maritime environment.

DSTG works closely with the @bureauofmeteorology and @csirogram to shape these models so they directly support Defence decision-making.
