OPEN CALL: From Ash Wednesday until Easter Sunday we are inviting friends and foes to join us into practicing some digital clutter abstinence.
We are open to hearing algorithms, fluxograms from all participants while also proposing our own: as we automatically grab our phones when waking up, that we open our mobile photo album and, a month per day, select but a few pictures per month to keep. How many? Up to each one’s judgement/capacity/pleasure.
Our goal is to have a mobile album that is more pleasant to browse, to have discussions about how we are dealing with our digital clutter and the experience of navigating and accessing our own archives and not to pay extra for cloud storage.

"bàrbabrabra and the ancient stories of the future"
During the shortest days and longest nights of the year, Sadrie Alves, Désirée 0100, Débora Oliveira and Giulia Bonfiglio will gather to explore forgotten lores, obscured histories, distorted memories, and perverted mythologies. They look at the past in order to see the ancient stories of the future.
bárbabrabra collective will be in residence at wp zimmer for 4 weeks, hosting 3 moments of open writing and drawing to be done around a pot of heartwarming soup and storytelling voices.
OPEN CALL: we are more than ever receiving submissions for all kinds of love letters - the ones written with lipstick on our mirrors, the ones transmorphed into drunken audio messages, the ones which materialize themselves into chocolate pieces, the ones coming from the crazy kind of people that give crazy people spotting scopes but then specially the ones that enthusiastically tell us they look forward to us in spite of seeing us daily. Thank you all for the wishes and the love, it means a lot! ♡
