✨ Covergirl ✨ So incredibly honored to have my photographs of @shuttlepressbindery featured in the Summer 2024 issue of @wherewomencreate! Check out Dana’s story and the photos at the link in my bio.

On a personal note, working with Dana, a true talent and a childhood friend, to create these images in her studio at @the_velvetmill was a joy. Not only was it special to rekindle our old friendship and discover all the ways we have or haven’t changed, but my family ties to the Velvet Mill added a whole new layer of meaning for me.

Both of my paternal grandparents (and later my dad) worked at the Velvet Mill at some point. My grandmother Alice Victoria worked as a clerk for nearly 20 years, coming in especially handy as a Portuguese speaker who could translate for the workers from the Portuguese community.

My grandfather John Victoria worked as an electrician before WWII and, as a mill employee in the late 1930s, was able to purchase a plot of land from the mill for $250. On that land he built the home that my parents still live in today.

The Velvet Mill is a permanent fixture of the landscape of my family, and the building itself feels like an essential resident of my hometown. To still be able to visit, to watch its revitalization over the past decade, and to work in the building myself for the first time as a photographer is remarkable to me. Thank you @danacampbellartist for inviting me to be a part of this collaboration and for keeping the craft of letterpressing and bookbinding alive — here’s to coming full circle 🌀

On newsstands until the end of July! 📰

A great joy to capture video and stills of @wesleyharper__ for his latest single, Casio, from the newly-released and alchemizing album 𝓕𝓾𝓷 𝓟𝓪𝓲𝓷.

The final music video Wesley created strikes the same balance as the song — he sings a clear message directly to camera while silhouettes and hazy images do their best to obscure and mesmerize. More than a breakup song, Casio for me is about self-acceptance, allowing yourself to be seen, and being unafraid to ask for love.

“Life is all you want it to be,
try it — are you happy?”

Visit @wesleyharper__’s bio to watch the video on YouTube and listen to the full album.
