This one’s especially for the girlies who grew up religious and believing that they’re damned if they don’t, damned if they do.

One of my highlights from my time at @cmucollege, a photoshoot for my tv and film special effects class. I had a vision of a sacrificial lamb and the perils one could endure to achieve salvation, incorporating visual elements of faith, unwilling martyrdom, and how the struggles of the mind can affect flesh. I’d like keep interpretation of this open, I firmly believe that your own understanding is a reflection of personal experiences and the values derived from it (and also because discussion of topics like this is like handling a loaded gun).

Also a reminder: your existence makes a difference, whether you believe it or not. You may not see it but the universe knows :-)

꧁An overview of my 2025 makeup journey꧂

⏔⏔⏔‎⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔ ·༻𐫱༺· ⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔

I officially started my professional makeup career in 2025, after enjoying as a primary hobby since the age of 15. After spending my late teens and early twenties soul searching, stuck in depressing food service positions, and passionless university courses, I found myself looking for something I gave enough of a damn about to spend the rest of my life doing.

After being introduced to CMU College by my fellow mua Annie/Annika, I found myself enraptured by the process and environment of professional makeup as both an artistry and vocation. After much saving and long hours of work, tons of negotiations and emails with OSAP, and many many prayers, I was given my final start date of April 2025 and was selected as a recipient of the Avenues to Access scholarship from @wbdaccess ദ്ദി૮ ˙Ⱉ˙ ა !!!

What followed was 8 months of hands on work: learning professional and technical skills from various areas of makeup disciplines, experimentation with so many new resources, much needed guidance from my instructors, and companionship in meeting so many talented creatives. To be honest, going to school 5 days a week and working 4 of those days almost killed me (srsly tho) but the love of my craft carried me through the months with a single day off and growing pains of learning so many completely new skills in a small span of tim

And I’ve never been more proud of myself for it <3

Hopefully, I’ll get to rest a bit more in 2026 and continue practicing what I’ve learned, so there will be many many many more posts to come. Thank you to all the support from my loved ones, peers and instructors! Special thanks to my sister for being my guinea pig and endless source of support, my dad for his unwavering belief in my abilities, my mom for sacrificing many of her own beauty products for my practice, my uncle Noel and auntie Laurie for their incredible generosity, all of my models for their patience, and my classmate Aruzhan for being an inspiration and above all, a friend ৎ𝄢

Thanks for making it to the end! Here’s to much success and growth in the new year ꫂ❁

🕯️🗝️🪞a waltz through timeless plane of existence, an inky black darkness lies far beyond what the eye can comprehend. she is guided only by the light of a gilded lantern, the only motion is forwards.

I actually did this photoshoot for my theatre class on my birthday, which makes it extra special to me. I had a vision of a mournful figure guided by a small flickering of illuminated hope that there is more light beyond the darkness, with a lovely 1920s flapper / pierrot influence!

thank you @jannabbi for being an astounding canvas, and for making my vision come to life

🔷🔹product details🔹🔷

@kryolanofficial supracolor, aqua color, and beaded lashes
@bennyemakeup cake liner, pressed eyeshadow
@maccosmeticscanada liptensity lipstick in blue beat

beaded head wrap made by me <3

݁ᛪ༙ My final assignment for my Photographic and Studio Hairstyling course from the end of May ݁ᛪ༙

For this project, I had a vision of a reclusive and enigmatic vampire heiress, set against the decadent beauty of the Victorian era.

I was inspired by these insane 18th century portraits with these huge cascading curls and beehive-like height and volume.

I hand-painted her face as well! I used acrylic paint and makeup pigments atop a sealant / primer. I was thinking of glueing individual lashes to her but ran out of time

The last few pictures are inspo / references + a sketch I did of my character pre-vampirism 🦇🍷🩸݁ᛪ༙

I’m hoping I can do some more hair projects (+ collab with Debbie the mannequin head) this year! Feedback thru my dms are encouraged ❣️
