The last couple months have been crazy culminating in my election as a councillor in @royal_greenwich for Plumstead Common.
I've received so many congratulations and yet it is important to know this is not about me. It is about those members who showed up and worked hard for this to happen. It is about my family that backed me all the way and helped in every way they could. It is about everyone who wants to see transparency, accountability and the construction of a long term positive future for the borough rather than more politics.
There's a lot of work to do and I beg your patience over the next couple of weeks as I orient myself to this new role and do the metric ton of training that has suddenly appeared on my schedule.
We will be up and running soon.

And today we celebrate our little one, Alyssa’s 8th birthday (she got breakfast in bed)

12 years ago today our daughter, Grace died the day before she was born. Need ess to say, this is a tough weekend. We have already cried, looked at her hair, cuddled the teddy that is identical to the one she was buried with, listened to the songs we associate with her.
Her death led me to write the most important thing I've ever written. It has changed people.

I'm eternally grateful to the guys at @86thfloorcosplay that helped me film this version.

We are delighted to announce that David Monteith is a speaker at the 11th Annual Make Birth Better Birth Summit. 🎉

Join David on Wednesday 3rd June as he discusses The 3-Dimensional Singularity of Stillbirth. This talk explores a map of trauma birthed by the death of a child.

David is an actor, voice-over artist, tutor & coach, and the first Black podcaster in the UK.

David and his wife Siobhan began their journey from innocence and naivety to bereaved parents when their 2nd daughter, Grace died in 2014. In 2015 David won the Inspirational Father category at the Butterfly Awards and since then has spoken on stillbirth issues all over the country.

Internationally he has spoken to an audience of 6000 at a conference in Denmark and at a march in Washington DC. He and his wife are continuing to raise awareness by establishing a movement called ‘Grace in Action’ to help parents explore Life after Stillbirth.
