David Boring (established 2013, Hong Kong) is post-punk and noise band from Hong Kong known for their distinctive sound and electrifying live performances. Their debut album Unnatural Objects and Their Humans (2017) shook the Hong Kong indie scene with their distorted guitar riffs, pulsating rhythm section, and nihilistic themes. Since then, David Boring has built up a cult following in Hong Kong and abroad. In 2026, they returned with Liminal Beings and Their Echoes—a sophomore album that sees them incorporate electronic sounds and elements of club music into their sound.

Last week was the release show for Liminal Beings and Their Echoes. A curious moment - the kind that arrives after months of accumulation. Not quite an ending, but the ceremonial closing of a long, meaningful, agonizing birth.

One must begin, of course, with gratitude.

To Damnably @damnably for sending our strange little album wandering into the wider world, and UN.TOMORROW @un.tomorrow for giving it a home in Hong Kong and orchestrating the gathering itself. Rocky @emptylocke, Medius @mediuschung, Jojo @keichingwong, Lilly @lilly_gato, Mike @mikekwchan and Toto @l0kt0 - your patience and steadfast support carried us through, especially during the less elegant moments when things briefly threatened to fall apart. (A quiet nod as well to the mysterious audience member who shouted “Fuck Xxxxxx” - a strangely fitting punctuation.)

Created and built by Elizabeth Kezia Widjaja @ekezia . Elizabeth is a creative technologist who explores hybrid practices, from photography and creative coding to interactive storytelling. Her work is driven by a response to the ephemerality of online content, blending digital experimentation with visual narrative.

Audience can experience the music video on 2 modes:

- AUTOPILOT (on Mobile & Desktop)

⁠- REMOTE (only if mobile device with gyroscope is available): open the app on both mobile and desktop device, accept the app gyroscope permission request on mobile device, enter the room code that is provided from the desktop, use your mobile device as remote.
