At some point in life, we all have compared our current situation (or even past situations) to those of others who seem to have it all. They have the career, the house, the car, the clothes, the person….they have it all….when the reality is they may be going through something that you aren’t equipped to handle, and even bigger than that, someone is looking at your life thinking you’re the one who has it all. Social media has made that even more prevalent in our lives. I’m guilty of it too. We will beat ourselves up thinking the next person is somehow “better” because of our perception. Stop letting where you are right now determine where you’re going to be.I believe in you.You got this….now go do it.
I don’t post “personal stuff” here, but I was fortunate enough to be a camp counselor/mentor for a group of students that are a part of @guitarsoverguns on last week. All the campers and staff wrote thank you notes and acknowledgments to everyone, well swipe and see what one student said to me. She thanked me for being her “camp dad”. I didn’t think I was acting like or being a “dad” to anyone, I was just being me. I’m so glad I was able to be this for her, and for others. Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there.
