For the first time, the Wonder Cabinet production Bethlehem will be in France with a performance in Paris on May 16th and another in Lyon as part of Nuits Sonores Festival on May 17th.

The result of a collaboration created by Wonder Cabinet with Bethlehem choirmaster Lawrence Sammour, and Beirut-based musicians Sary Moussa and Abed Kobeissy, this electro-acoustic work weaves a link between sacred liturgical tradition and experimental electronic creation.

Commissioned for Christmas 2023, at a moment when Bethlehem had cancelled all celebrations in response to the genocide in Palestine, the piece was broadcast on more than fifty radio stations around the world.

Following its live premiere at the Le Guess Who? festival, the project now expands with the participation of Makram Aboul Hosn, in view of an album and a book to be released in 2026.

The show will open with a first act by Charbel Haber, a Lebanese musician, composer, and artist whose work explores memory, decay, and the unstable afterlives of sound in a region shaped by rupture and continuity. A central figure in Lebanon’s experimental and alternative music scenes since the late 1990s, he has developed a practice that moves across composition, improvisation, film, and performance, weaving together the intimate and the political, the archival and the speculative.

Dar El Nimer is proud to host the release of Nada Boulos Auction’s first catalog of 2026: Modern and Contemporary Art from Lebanon and the Middle East

This sale brings together a selection of works that trace the formation and evolution of modern art in Lebanon through painting and artistic exchange. Spanning the early to mid-twentieth century and extending into later modernist developments, the works assembled here reflect a moment when artists were actively negotiating the relationship between local landscapes, personal histories, and international artistic currents

يسرّ “دار النمر للفن والثقافة” استضافة حفل إطلاق الكتالوج الأول لعام ٢٠٢٦ لمزاد ندى بولس: “الفن الحديث والمعاصر من لبنان والشرق الأوسط”.

For the past 20 years, Social Support Society @sss_socialsupportsociety has been guided by its mission to improve the quality of life for seniors at the Palestinian refugee camps and to create opportunities for them to lead proactive and purposeful lives.

Their many activities include the Active Ageing House, a second home, support center, and vibrant hub of cultural and recreational activities that have transformed the lives of seniors in the camps. Teta’s Kitchen (follow their new page! @tetaskitchen.leb ) - where they cook delicious meals and meticulously prepare their famous mouneh products - improves their quality of life by promoting self-sufficiency, creating jobs and preserving culinary traditions.

UNTIL MARCH 13: Selim Mawad’s collection of artworks created since the beginning of the current genocide, chronicling the decline of the so-called international order and calling out the double standards in international human rights that have never been as sharply visible as today.

Fundraiser: All the artworks, and an exclusive art book, are on sale with all proceeds going to Palestinian students in Lebanon.

It’s today! EXHIBITION OPENING AND BOOK LAUNCH | ‘Look Closely - Gaza’ by Selim Mawad

The exhibition and book will depict the daily struggles of Gazans in the aftermath of the October 7, 2023, genocide through a series of satirical illustrations, statements, and research that highlight the selective application of international and humanitarian laws with impunity for the perpetrators.

All proceeds will benefit Palestinian students based in Lebanon.

يضم الكتاب والمعرض سلسلة من الأعمال الفنية التي تجسد المعاناة اليومية لأهل غزة منذ ٧ أكتوبر ٢٠٢٣ وما تلاها. يحتوي الإصدار والمعرض على رسومات ساخرة، وبيانات، وأبحاث تسلط الضوء على الانتقائية في تطبيق القوانين الدولية والإنسانية، والإفلات التام من العقاب الذي يتمتع به الجاني.

سيتم تخصيص كافة العائدات لتقديم منح دراسية لعدد من الطلاب الفلسطينيين في تخصصي القانون الدولي والصحافة الاستقصائية

This week is a busy one at Dar El Nimer, with our continuing exhibition ‘On Earth as it is in Heaven: Icons from Jerusalem’, showcasing the unique and overlooked Levantine and Jerusalemite iconography tradition, two fundraisers - for Palestinian seniors across the camps, and Palestinian students based in Lebanon. Don’t miss the musical tribute to Omar El Zenni either. We look forward to welcoming you throughout the week!
