Using his signature technique of “creative destruction”, the artist sandblasts, scrapes, and fragments the white ceramic. Beneath the industrial glaze, he brings forth the raw clay to reveal faces and profound gazes. Here, Vhils explores the interstices of matter and urban memory, capturing the essence of humanity where it is least expected.

Par sa technique signature de « destruction créatrice », l’artiste vient sabler, gratter et fragmenter la céramique blanche. Sous l’émail industriel, il fait surgir l’argile brute pour révéler des visages et des regards profonds. Vhils explore ici les interstices de la matière et de la mémoire urbaine, capturant l’essence humaine là où on l’attend le moins.

Trained in traditional Chinese painting from childhood, Zelam Lim desciovered graffiti in 2003.
Rich in vivid colours and vibrant natural motifs, his artistic universe infuses beauty and vitaly into the heart of the city, repairing the urban landscape by transforming it into dreamlike scenery.

For his first collaboration with Maison Guerlain, Zelam Lim has interpreted the power of the bee in a vibrant work that echoes the repairing beauty of each drop of Abeille Royale Youth Watery Oil Serum. 🐝

Formé dès son enfance à la peinture traditionnelle chinoise, Zelam Lim a découvert le graffiti en 2003.
Riche en couleurs vives et en motifs naturels éclatants, son univers artistique insuffle beauté et vitalité au cœur de la ville, réparant le paysage urbain en le transformant en un décor onirique.

Pour sa première collaboration avec la Maison Guerlain, Zelam Lim a interprété la puissance de l’abeille dans une œuvre éclatante qui fait écho à la beauté réparatrice de chaque goutte du sérum Abeille Royale. 🐝
