I haven’t felt this motivated in a long long time.
Chasing progress right now feels so good and this morning was a fartlek session with an extended cool down, felt comfortably hard as it should.
Feels so good to feel tiny steps of progress and Hackney last weekend gave me a serious boost into the running mojo!

I love the running community.
But that doesn’t mean I don’t always have butterflies every time I head to a shoot.

It’s a thrill, moments in time, split seconds turned into lasting memories.

It helps when the brands and people I’m shooting are genuine friends and they put on the smiles, bring their energy and give you what you need to get the goods.

Here we go again!
This is what taking time away from running looks like.
What used to be easy pace feels like it’s harder than ever. A HR of 166 for the duration of this run was far higher than it should be.
However, there’s something humbling and honest about hitting up a 5km time trial at the start of a training block, it can only get better from here. I’d like to be back in 38min 10k shape this summer so we’ve got some work to do.

The big goal is running my 20th marathon later this year and seeing if it’s still possible to get into PB shape.

Prepare yourselves: The run shoe chat is about to get more nerdy and unbearable than ever. 🤣

It turns out it IS possible to HYROX with your top on. 🤯

Doubles HYROX with @rachsanderss was actually a quality day out and I feel like for a first effort and only 4 weeks notice we hit a solid effort. 1:14:58

I can’t lie, I was nervous stepping into this but loved it and can’t recommend it enough.

Genuinely think we can shave off 5+ minutes purely from a bit of training and some smoother planning now that we know what we are stepping into.

And perhaps I’ll do all the wall ball’s next time? 😆 I almost got KO’d from a stray wall ball 👀😂

PUMA x HYROX Deviate Nitro Elite 4 on foot… obviously in pink. SLAAAAYYY.

Will I be back… yes! I loved it.

Someone ordered an upgrade?
A special delivery came my way in the form of the @hoka_eu Cielo X1 3.0 👌

The previous version was used in my half marathon PB and I loved it.
Though, it wasn’t without its floors. 🧐
With cut out midsoles in an attempt to save weight I couldn’t imagine running beyond the half marathon distance due to a lack of stability.

However this bad boy just entered the chat. 😮‍💨
The shoe feels balanced on foot, stable, with the foam/carbon plate combo that has me popping off every step.

The response and feel I loved from the v2 but more stable and built for the long run!

Think it’s about time to shoot for another PB.
