Celebrating 30 Years of Surfers Healing ❤️❤️❤️

For 30 years, Surfers Healing has been more than a surf camp—it’s been a lifeline.

Our family’s story is rooted in connection, resilience, and reflection—and Surfers Healing has been a huge part of that journey.

It helped us look beyond labels and limitations… and see possibility.

I’ve had the privilege of not only witnessing the magic—but capturing it.
The smiles, the bravery, the peace that washes over each child and their family.

And in the water… something shifts.
There is regulation.
There is calm.
There is freedom.

For so many of our children, that doesn’t come easily in the everyday world—but in the ocean, it does.

And the surfers… they carry more than our children.
They carry our trust, our hearts, and our hope.

As a parent, that kind of trust is everything.

This isn’t just surfing.
This is connection.
This is healing.

Thank you to Izzy Paskowitz, Danielle Paskowitz, Isaiah ,and your entire family for creating something so life-changing—for our family and so many others.

One day, after years of trying, you call their name…and they answer.

Fifteen years in the making.
This is a moment some might take for granted, but for a parent, it’s everything.

That’s where this all began, with instructors who grew up with Isaiah. A family who understood the behaviors, the challenges, the breakthroughs, and one simple idea: let’s make something of this.

Autism really sucks sometimes. Emergency room visits are too frequent for parents and caregivers of children and adults with autism because of SIB"s (self injurus behavior) My heart goes out to all parents and caregivers who deal with this. It can be very heartbreaking. Isaiah's on the mend and now we will try and figure out a cause which probably won't happen. There's still not enough help out there for us families. If he could only express himself to give us a clue. All we can do is try and be the best parentsand caretakers we can. It's a lifetime job and it's not easy. Not everyone understands what it's like but if you know you know. Surround yourself with supportive people , loving people, people with integrity that truly care about others. #profoundautism #autism #adultswithautism #autismparents
