This was done over an informal weekly group session at my studio... nothing fancy, just regular practice, which is always great and this time around, the model had a neo classical face! Exploring wall sculptures and ornament concepts in the midst of having a newborn. I feel like I am in the the trenches, diapers, colics, milk, milk, milk, poop, loooooove, and art to spice things a bit. My brain is mush at the moment so I'll just leave you with this video presentation of my latest series.

I'm trying to plunge deeper into the past and bring back echoes of distant cultures, information get very dim the further we reach back but the cultural remants have a way of pulling us into it's mysticism.  I want to reach into that unkown glacial Europe.

This forsaken time of humanity is only but mirage at a distance, but we speculate about a matriarchal society at the time. Perhaps we need to search for this ancient wisdom to help us grapple with the contemporary testosterone-driven politicians... ... ...

This composition aims to depict an Iberian woman in formal attire. The chronological context is the iron age, the hairstyle/helmet of the figure is somewhat reminiscent of the "Dama de Elche" sculpture.

Another addition to the roster of characters/deitys/myths of old Iberia. 

I'm still a beginner when it comes to digital art and i nearly lost my cool when technical issues started pouring in. Fortunately @andreguerreirojorge a paladin in a shinny silver armor came to the rescue. You rock my friend!

I might have gotten carried away editing the video... but, it was so much fun!
