The Medical Director serves as the senior physician leader at Damien Center and is responsible for the overall clinical direction, quality, and integrity of medical care delivery across the organization. This role provides direct oversight of medical providers and clinical quality functions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care with a strong emphasis on HIV treatment, prevention, and whole-person health.

Our team member of the month of May is Erika Loveland (she/her)!
Erika consistently embodies the highest standards of patient care, leadership, and teamwork. She leads with confidence, stepping in to support staff during challenging moments while also ensuring every patient feels seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. She anticipates needs before they arise, mentors newer nurses with patience and clarity, and maintains a level of professionalism that elevates the entire clinic. Her dedication shows in the way she communicates, the compassion she brings to every interaction, and the reliability she demonstrates day after day.
If you see Erika around Damien, be sure to thank her for her hard work and leadership at Damien Center.
We will be closed Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day.
Normal hours will resume Tuesday, May 26th.
Today we raise awareness about Hepatitis and encourage testing on National Hepatitis Day.
An estimated 2.4 million are people living with hepatitis C. There is currently no vaccine to prevent hepatitis C, but curative treatments are available. Most people with hepatitis C can be cured with just 8–12 weeks of well-tolerated oral-only treatment. Testing is the first step.
Join us in bringing attention to this day and advocating for our community.
