The way this night came together! 🤞🏾

Thank you to my dear friend and steward of art and culture @kyrieirving and the entire @uncledrewcircuit Crew for closing out the tournament with us at @ateliebytheexperience . Chef @wyl.lima and his incredible team made sure every single dish felt like home — and that’s exactly what this space is built for. 🤎

To our Ateliê family who stayed late to make sure every guest felt taken care of — thank you doesn’t cover it. You are the heartbeat of this place.💐

And to the friends who keep showing up — for the artists, for Daisha Board Gallery, and now for Ateliê — I don’t take that lightly. Ever. 🙏🏾

You can tell a lot about a person by the team they have around them. The gratitude was felt by everyone — and Kyrie dapped up every single person in that room. That said everything. 🤝🏾

From our Tribe to Yours! It was our pleasure to share this experience with you all!

COME HOME exhibit on view now @ateliebytheexperience

Book your reservation Link in Bio or find us on @opentable

What I’m looking for, and why it matters.

Honored to serve as juror for the 33rd Annual New Texas Talent at @craigheadgreen — and grateful to @glasstire for naming it among the juried shows Texas artists should have on their radar right now.

🔗 in bio.

Here’s the truth: I’m not looking for the most polished work in the pile.

I’m looking for a voice.
A point of view.
Work that couldn’t have been made by anyone but you.

Submissions where I can feel the artist thinking — about material, about lineage, about the world we’re actually living in.

Why does that matter?

Because shows like this one are often the door. They’re how galleries find you, how collectors find you, how a career starts to have shape. New Texas Talent exists specifically for artists without gallery representation — and that’s not a small thing.

That’s infrastructure. That’s how this ecosystem keeps building itself.

So please — don’t edit yourself into what you think a juror wants.

Send me the work that’s most honest.

The work you’d make whether anyone was watching or not.

That’s the work I want to see.

📍 Craighead Green Gallery, Dallas Design District
🗓️ Deadline: May 24, 2026
🎨 Texas artists 18+, up to 3 works, no entry fee (donations welcomed)

🖼️ On view June 27 – August 22
Submit → craigheadgreen.com (link in bio)

Tag an artist who should apply. 🖤

Beef & Broccoli
Hanger Steak, Broccolini, Broccolini Purée, Hoisin Sauce, Sesame.
A globally inspired reinterpretation of the classic Chinese-American “beef & broccoli,” viewed through the lens of Ateliê’s workshop-style cuisine. The hanger steak brings the richness and char of classic steakhouse technique, while hoisin roots the dish in Cantonese flavor traditions with its sweet, savory depth. Broccolini and its purée add texture and earthiness, balancing the umami with a refined, vegetable-forward approach. Finished with sesame for a subtle nod to East Asian street food and wok culture.
Globally inspired by Chinese-American comfort food, elevated through the craftsmanship of Chef @wyl.lima. 🎥 @blckchvpel

Cabbage, Miso Coconut Broth, Pickled Celery, Celery Hearts, Puffed Quinoa.Ateliê by The EXPERIENCE — a story of texture, balance, and global influence by Michelin-trained Chef @wyl.lima surrounded by art curated by @daishaboardgallery. Roasted cabbage meets the depth of miso and coconut broth, layered with bright pickled celery, fresh celery hearts, and the delicate crunch of puffed quinoa. A dish rooted in simplicity, built through contrast — warm and cold, soft and crisp, earthy and vibrant.
Every plate at Ateliê is part of the storybook. 🎥 @blckchvpel

Art has always been where the real conversations happen. 🖤

Last night, under the Dallas skyline, I had the honor of being in the room for an evening in support of @jamestalarico for U.S. Senate — a former public school teacher, people-powered candidate, and the kind of voice Texas has been waiting for.

As someone who has spent years building cultural infrastructure in this city, I know that art and civic life are not separate things. The same communities that need galleries, residencies, and creative space — need representation that fights for them at the federal level.

James gets that. And Dallas showed up.

Pork Belly, Pickled Daikon, Cucumber, Cilantro, Mayo. Inspired by the Vietnamese bánh mì — where French influence meets bold Southeast Asian flavor — this plate balances richness, acidity, crunch, and heat in every bite. A story of migration, culture, and comfort told through food.

In honor of National Tennis Month, @dfwblacktennis had the opportunity to collaborate with @blackgirlsinartspaces at the Court & Canvas event this past weekend to celebrate Black art. 🎨🎾✨

We had a wonderful time learning about the ‘why’ behind the art from the artist himself, @agotiofficialmusic

Thank you to the @daishaboardgallery for showing us a beautiful art collection. Special thanks to the @ateliebytheexperience for the wonderful dining experience.

May is National Tennis Month.

And Serena Williams taught us that the serve is always a statement — on the court and off it.

Joshua Gordon’s *Serve* understands that assignment.

36 x 24 in. Acrylic, house paint, oil pastel. A painting that holds the same energy as a woman who showed up in Balmain and still won the match!
