We invite you to join us this Saturday, May 23, from 6–9 pm for the opening of 203/H The Collector at the CUE Art Foundation, sharing works by 18 participating artists and researchers brought together through the Interdisciplinary Art and Theory Program (IATP).
The exhibition emerged out of a year of Friday gatherings in the basement of Canada gallery on the Lower East Side. Each week, from 4–6 pm, we met to read Walter Benjamin’s The Arcades Project, an unfinished work published after his death. Afterwards, we continued our conversations at Toad Hall or Whiskey Tavern near Canal Street, bars that became extensions of the reading room, where ideas lingered long after the text closed.
The book brought us together, each of us developing an intimate relationship with the text while reading alongside one another. At some point, Benjamin simply became Walter. The exhibition emerges not only from our engagement with his fascinating text, but from the way our worlds collided: friendships, debates, and an osmosis of ideas that unfolded over many Fridays together.
The exhibition is an invitation to think together, to expand the community, and to continue the conversations that began around a basement table and stretched late into the evening.
About IATP @iatp_nyc
Based in New York City, the Interdisciplinary Art and Theory Program (IATP) is a year-long critical studies program for artists, curators, and cultural practitioners. Through readings, seminars, and collective discussion, it examines the structures, histories, and politics that shape contemporary art and culture.
Much love and thanks to Jinny Khanduja @jinnykk and Jasmine Buckley at CUE @cueart for making this happen.

We are pleased to invite you to “203 / H The Collector,” organized by Oorja Garg and Ridwana Rahman with the Interdisciplinary Art and Theory Program (IATP) at CUE Art Foundation from May 23-29, 2026.
Artists & Researchers: Minnie Black, Yves Cao, Kaela Mei-Chee Chambers, Joseph Issac Cohen, Spencer Everett, Christian Amaya Garcia, Oorja Garg, Mary-Elisabeth Moore, Pegah Pasalar, Sarah Passino, Ridwana Rahman, Rujuta Rao, Lauren Rooney, Miranda Samuels, Soleil Corazón-Libre, Trevor Warren, Mariia Usova
IATP Team: Jeremy Johnston, Ben DuVall & Curtis Eckley (Darling Green), Miranda Samuels, Orlee Malka, Avi Alpert, Meleko Mokgosi, Kristen Hileman, Anthea Behm, and Jennifer Pranolo
Opening Night: Saturday, May 23, 6-9 PM
Closing & Symposium: Friday, May 29
CUE Art Foundation
137 W 25th St, New York, NY
After a year of moving through Walter Benjamin’s The Arcades Project with IATP, convolute by convolute, this exhibition emerges from questions around collecting, commodities, memory, and the strange lives of objects.
Benjamin returns often to the figure of the collector: one who withdraws things from circulation and reorders them according to intimate logics of assembly. In this gesture, the object is released from economic function and enters narrative life.
The exhibition invites viewers to encounter things not as possessions to be acquired, but as forms carried across contexts, memories, and possible futures.

mādar brings together artists spanning generations and disciplines, from Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan, Iran to Brooklyn, New York, in a collective gesture of solidarity. While the bombing has temporarily paused, the situation remains precarious. Critical infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, and millions — already burdened by years of economic crisis, inflation, and U.S. sanctions — face the threat of displacement, food insecurity, and long-term instability.
Curated by Melika Abikenari and Golnar Adili, mādar is a benefit exhibition and auction opening Friday, May 15 at 6 PM at CUE Art Foundation.
Contributed works will be available through a benefit auction supporting relief efforts through Moms Against Poverty and additional on-the-ground initiatives supporting people in Iran. The online auction launches with the opening reception and remains live through 11:59 PM EST on May 15.
Opening night includes sounds by @narrokh beginning at 9 PM, aragh cocktails by @sag.nyc , beer provided by @backhomebeer , and bites by @bazm.nyc .
mādar will remain on view through the weekend at CUE Art Foundation, 137 West 25th Street. Weekend gallery hours on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 are from 12–6 PM; no reservations are required.

Join us on Saturday, May 2nd, for d̶i̶r̶t̶ 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩, a new dinner work by Tsohil Bhatia (@tsohilbhatia) co-presented with Peel (@peel.space) in Pittsburgh, PA. The meal will be followed by a set from multi-disciplinary DJ, artist, and designer Formosa (@formosa.exe).
Guests gather for a shared eight-course meal in which the table becomes a site for speculation on the practices that have shaped what we consider to be either palatable or objectionable.
Drawing upon ingredients and methods that have existed for centuries—ash, clay, salt, grain, fruit, char, fermentation—the menu acts as a set of relations to land across geographies and over time. Recipes carry evidence of the propositions of the land. They draw from histories of accident, spoilage, and contamination, often incorporating ingredients that we have learned to distrust.
Through vocabularies of refusal and relation, the work reconsiders our prevailing conceptions of value and sustenance.
Capacity is limited! Learn more and reserve a seat ($50) at links in bio. 🔗

d̶i̶r̶t̶ 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩 is made possible through essential support from the Carnegie Mellon School of Art, Brian Wongchaowart, Chris and Dawn Fleischner, and JADED (@jadedpgh).
Drinks graciously provided by @goodlandercocktails and @twofraysbrewery.
