Hi everyone, 

Announcing today that I am putting the Crypticz project on ‘indefinite hiatus.’ 

There is so much I could say. The bottom line is just to say thank you to anyone and everyone that allowed me to flourish and grow creatively, whether as a fan or a colleague, and allow this project to become what it did. 

I’ve rambled on a bit in a video that I’ve attached to this post if you want some thoughts/context on everything and the other things outlined in this post.

I am not going anywhere. I still love to push and challenge myself creatively. 

I will be launching a new electronic music project where I’m free to explore everything from techno to ambient and beyond. I will be doing this as Palm Way View. I would love if you wanted to come along on the journey. > @palmwayview

Also, I will be continuing to slowly but surely build my discography as Jordan Parsons, a project where I’m interested in blurring the lines between underground electronics and modern alt-pop production. > @jordanparsonsofficial

Releases will still be done ‘traditionally’ but I’m very interested in new ways to engage with an audience in this increasingly dynamic landscape. Crypticz’s last @swu.fm show will be Wednesday 4th September. Big up to Ollie & the SWU Team, who are more than happy for me to continue contributing to the station as Palm Way View from Wednesday October 2nd, looking forward to a more open format for myself as a DJ.

Today is the day I get to share with you what I've been up to behind the scenes over the last few years....

I'm delighted to announce the release of my first true full length debut LP, Transition of Eye, via Cosmic Bridge.

It's an album about love, loss, perception of self, my connection to the world and my place within it. It has been both the most rewarding but also most intense and draining creative project of my life and I'm humbled that an individual such as @om_unit would support me in bringing my vision to reality. Endless thanks to him for helping me realise my full potential and give me a platform to share what I do with an audience.

The Crypticz project fizzled away a while ago now… but today marks 5 years (half a decade!) since the release of ‘Between Dust & Time’ on @western_lore

I like to keep things moving forward, but I think it’s important to look back and reflect on ones output as an artist. This was written during a period where I was particularly ‘mystical’ within my creative process, a little too much perhaps, but I remember the era fondly. This record always reminds me - if I have a clear, ambitious creative vision I AM capable of pulling it together with the right focus.

This one seemed to connect with a lot of people, to the point I still see it being discussed and brought up in corners of the online jungle scene (which I still lurk behind the scenes of!) to this very day. There are so many reasons we create as humans, but when you strip it all back to basics I think it’s primarily about expression and connection - it’s a true pleasure to know I’ve made work that MEANS SOMETHING to others. Much respect to the Crypticz fans!

Wanted to do something special for this one… went through my archive of tracks I’ve played and supported over the last 5 years, narrowed it down to just over 1000 tracks. Whittled this down to a final 150 tracks. Trimmed those down one last time and made the ultimate ‘Crypticz mix’ playlist from that and I’ll be blending through it tonight…
