Titled “Moving Forward, Together,” the video reflects our mission, our values, and the community that inspires our work every day.

It’s also an invitation to connect (or reconnect!) with CPC—to grow with us, partner with us, advocate with us, volunteer with us, and support our work.

Ifsa Fareed, a participant in CPC’s Learn and Earn program and a new member of our Youth Policy Team, shares how CPC helped her find her voice through mentorship, peer learning, and supportive spaces where her perspective was heard and valued.

What began as hesitation turned into confidence—and a deeper understanding of what advocacy truly means.

Her experience reflects the impact of CPC’s youth programs: creating space for young people to grow into informed, empowered leaders who can drive change in their communities.

With SNAP cuts, immigration fears, and rising food prices, families are turning to school food pantries like never before. At PS 94 in Sunset Park, the food pantry run by CPC has seen demand more than double in recent years.

• 2022: 40 high-need families served every two weeks
• Last year: 210 high-need families served once per month

Sunset Park families need support. School food pantries need resources.

We are calling for:
✅ Critical repairs and improvements for Older Adult Centers
✅ More affordable housing for seniors
✅ Expansion of the SCRIE (Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption) program
✅ Increased funding rates for Congregate Meals programs

#ThrowbackThursday to when CPC Project Gateway took over 30 high school juniors, seniors, and college students to Camp Mariah 🏕️ in upstate New York for Spring Break.

They built chairs, houses, and cars out of poles. They shared conversations about college life, gathered around the bonfire with s'mores in hand, and connected in ways that will last long after the weekend ended.
