A great night of boxing for London Military Boxing Club as we had 3 of our boxers take on 3 from Barnstaple ABC.
Suhail showed continued improvement boxing to instructions and picking up a second round stoppage.
Anthony got back to winning ways with a good performance against the experienced Eric Ridd.
Faith lost out on a split decision against former opponent Chuk in a close and entertaining war, giving his best performance for the club.

All 3 boxers set the bar for what is expected moving forward, and as always conducted themselves properly making everyone at the club proud.

Major Robbie Wilmont MBE

It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Major Robbie Wilmont MBE.
Robbie along with Andy Haines and Tommy Roach co founded the London District TA & Army Boxing Club, today known as The London Military Boxing Club. Robbie was a club official, our club secretary as well as the treasurer of the South East London region, but not only that he was a friend to all in the boxing community. He was a major fund raiser for the club while also raising thousands of pounds for military charities. Robbie will be dearly missed by all those who knew him, may he forever rest in peace. 💔

London Military coach Del took a squad of some of the best boxers the Alliance has to offer to France last week, they competed over 3 days in the 'Tournoi Jacques Bataille' box cup. Along side Del was coaches Joe Taylor and Wayne Morley as well as Alliance officials Harry Slater and Ron Philipson.

So proud of this young man. 25 bouts in 2 years and still improving each and every time. Doesn't always get the decision but his attitude and work in the gym is second to none. Today he boxed another quality and experienced boxer and came away with the win and also a belt to add to the collection!

Cary made it to the semil finals and will no doubt learn from his experience.
Deniz boxed well on the inside scoring some cracking shots but will feel like we let the bout slip as until the last round we was in control.
Tye lost his Class B final in a close bout that many thought he done just enough to win. Tye showed maturity and tactical discipline to keep to the game plan over the 4 x 2's and keeps improving after each bout.

LONDON MILITARY BOXING CLUB HOME SHOW 08 Nov 24 🥊

We had 7 bouts for our home show which included Teddy, Cary, Kenneth, Tye, Deniz, Callum and Anthony all putting on display skill and heart in front of a lively home crowd. Everyone of them gave their absolute best as we came away with 4 wins from 7 with all bouts being hard 50/50 contests.

Thank you to everyone that bought a ticket and came to support. Thank you to all of the judges, referees and officials and the travelling clubs and boxers.

Lastly this was Coach Andy's last boxing show as a serving soldier having given 40+ years to the British Army, what a night it was so thank you Captain Andy Haines MBE for all you have done.

Another busy weekend for The London Military Boxing Club! Saturday we had Faith, Ted & Tye all respresenting the London Aba in a select match against the South West Aba, this took place in Bristol with the return show to be held in London later on in the season. Unfortunately all 3 came up short. All 3 were in evenly contested bouts where the decision could have gone either way.

On Sunday we had Callum & Cary boxing on the East Coast Boxing show held in Great Yarmouth. Callum put in a punch perfect performance to pick up the win, Cary gave his all losing out on a majority decision.

With over 11 hours of travel between both days a big thank you to the coaches Del, Joe & Kerry for their time and commitment. All 5 boxers can be proud of themselves for their efforts and as always the way they conduct themselves 👏🏼
