Today I am 32. It was time for a change.

It’s challenging to put into words how difficult 31 was. It began catastrophically, continuing the struggling trend of 30, and quickly became incredibly dark. Every aspect of my life imploded. And slowly, piece by piece, I began putting it back together - but different. I’ve made a lot of changes. Discovered numerous things about myself, good and bad. And as much as I wish my life hadn’t gone up in flames like it had, I firmly believe I wouldn’t have made these changes or fully realized certain aspects of myself if things hadn’t fallen apart. In many ways I get to start over, and actually build a life I enjoy. I feel much more hopeful, and capable, than I was a year ago. I’ve reclaimed parts of me that I was embarrassed and ashamed of. And it feels good.
