“Confines presents four new remixes of “Oro Y Muerte” from his Work Up the Blood EP. Originally as track that blends harsh vocals with a dark dance sensibility, the new interpretations of it—from EBM basslines to noisy ethereal synths—emphasize the vastness of Confines’ musical world.
Kontravoid drives his special concoction of sexy EBM into the track by way of the pacing and groove. With a brash techno rendering, Annuziata’s remix includes supercharged rave undertones for peak club time. Biproduct created a seething techno rager that speeds through with its unforgiving kick while WHITE RING’s version is sonic noise built with seductive, yet forceful, walls of sound.”

“I first went to Basilica in 2014 to see Swans and Health and the experience blew me away. I felt transported, like I was in on a secret. It was the kind of event where likeminds gather to see art and music in an unfettered way. Raw and real. No bullshit.
I’m excited to have been asked to guest curate this year and for the lineup that’s resulted out of the collaboration with the Basilica team. It will be another special one.”

Thank you for all the love over the past 72 hours, it’s been incredible!
It’s hard to encapsulate everything I feel about 13 years of this project into one caption but I keep coming back to one sentiment I’d like to share. I want to take a moment to thank Arty and George for believing in me when I really needed someone to believe in me. It changed everything.
One of the things I’m most proud of with Saint Vitus is that we gave people a shot (and then some more shots!) to create and participate. When this thing really worked (between our incredible staff, the performers, YOU) it was that little bit of magic you need to keep going.
