Drawing from the narrative logic of medieval mappae mundi, the installation approaches environment as a system structured by conditions rather than locations. What emerges is not a representation, but a temporary balance between multiple presences acting together.

This journey into impossible environments was made possible through our collaboration with @daydreamlive_, their open-source cloud infrastructure gave us the freedom to stay fully inside the concept. Grateful to the whole team for carrying this with us, and for the constant support we received.

As shared not long ago, this April we’ll be part of WE WILL DESIGN 2026 — HELLO DARKNESS at @base_milano during Milano Design Week, presenting An Ecology of Beasts within this collective landscape of projects, practices, and imaginaries.
Every year, during Design Week, BASE transforms into a living laboratory of prototypes, visions, and radical practices.
Here, what is still in the making finds space and visibility: alongside institutions, emerging designers, schools, and universities from all over the world; new and urgent voices that use design to question the present and attempt to rewrite it in a more equitable, accessible, and conscious way.
The 2026 edition of We Will Design, HELLO DARKNESS, opens a space in which design becomes a tool to overturn hierarchies, intertwine ecologies and technologies, and imagine the cities and societies of the future.
