I remember my first touch more than my first goal.
I was about five or six playing tackle for goal in the streets when the ball got launched high into the sky. Everybody moved away from it… but I didn’t.
I brought it down dead with the bottom of my studs, beat everyone and scored.
That was the moment I fell in love with football.
Now, years later, the game still shapes who I am, as a coach, creator and father.
