The future is circular & we’re building it 💫
Earth Day. Today and every day.
Last week, our co-founders @chloamarie & @stuartahlum were in Washington. Textile recycling policy, waste management, R&D investment, onshoring — pushing for the policy and infrastructure that turns fashion’s waste problem into an economic opportunity.
The conversation is changing.

SuperCircle, a New York–based startup, has raised $24M in Series A funding to turn retail’s textile waste into a profitable, AI-driven operation. Founded and led by CEO Chloe Songer, the company provides a full-stack platform that analyzes unsold, returned, or damaged textiles and routes them to the best reuse or recycling options, converting what was once a cost into revenue. Partnering with brands like J.Crew, GUESS, and Reformation, SuperCircle leverages AI to create digital twins of garments, optimize recycling, and open new revenue streams, all while reducing landfill waste. The new capital, led by Foundry with participation from BBG Ventures, Renewal Fund, and Elemental Impact, will expand the platform’s technology, supply chain integrations, and retail partnerships.

What a special night at @elevenmadisonpark for our 4th annual Circularity Week dinner hosted by @supercircle.world.
Brought together friends across fashion, media, technology, and sustainability to talk about what circularity actually looks like when applied across industries — not just as an idea, but as infrastructure.
One of the reasons we love partnering with EMP is their commitment to offering an entirely plant-based menu option and the way they plan produce seasonally year-round alongside their farm partners upstate. Thoughtful systems everywhere.
Thank you to the EMP team and @chefdominiqueroy for an incredible evening — and for the kitchen tour to see where the magic happens.

60 days a year in Vegas building @supercircle.world – and this time on stage for ShopTalk 2026.
”We’re building the operating system for the next life of products – all of the inventory already produced, already sold”
@shoptalkevents Shoptalk 2026 brought together the innovators behind modern retail — marketing, logistics, infrastructure, and the systems beneath the surface. The shift is in our conversation was clear: what happens post-purchase is becoming the next frontier.
Shared the stage with incredible leaders building adjacent layers of that stack — Mo Afshar (Co-Founder & CEO of Pipe17), Salman Habib (Co-Founder & CEO of Burq), Heather Rivera (Chief Business Officer of @wing), and Gaurav Pant (Co-Founder & Chief Insights Officer of Incisiv).

God-tier day.
We planned our entire year last year around going to see @rickowensonline at the @palaisgallieramuseedelamode — close Series A, get back to Paris, see Rick. And we made it in the final week.
“FULFILLING YOUR POTENTIAL - THAT’S THE ULTIMATE MEANING OF LIFE.” Rick Owens
_______
Rick is only the third living designer to ever have an exhibition at the Palais, which feels significant considering how relatively new his brand is.
Rick has been my favorite designer since high school and is one of the reasons I threw myself into fashion. He is a Northern California native — like me — and started his career in the underground goth punk movement in LA… as a way to escape his small hometown and strict Catholic upbringing in Porterville, CA.
Rick launched his brand in 2002. I was in high school from 2006 to 2010 … watching this.
And I grew up underneath a very similar narrative… My mom packed up a VW van with her best friend and drove cross country from her small town to San Francisco in the 80s to make it as an artist. They both grew up in strict Catholic households — I was also raised in the Catholic church — and so much of Owen’s work and aesthetic is profoundly shaped by this upbringing and exploring themes of mortality and discipline.
To me, being immersed in a fully realized perspective — one built slowly, with conviction, over decades — was poignant. What I’m taking into 2026 is that by building with enough clarity and discipline, what you build can eventually become its own world.
“AT 63, THE CALIFORNIAN DESIGNER CONTINUES TO CHALLENGE CONVENTIONS AND DEFY THE RULES OF CONTEMPORARY FASHION. AN EXHIBITION AT PARIS’S PALAIS GALLIERA PAYS TRIBUTE TO THIS ICONIC, UNAPOLOGETIC FIGURE, MORE RELEVANT THAN EVER. IT’S A STRIKING PARADOX: RICK OWENS, FASHION’S PRINCE OF DARKNESS, BRIGHTENS THE DIMLY LIT HALLS OF THE PALAIS GALLIERA WITH SURPRISING CLARITY. TITLED TEMPLE OF LOVE, THE MUSEUM’S FIRST PARIS RETROSPECTIVE OF THE DESIGNER’S WORK IS TRULY ENLIGHTENING - NOT JUST IN TERMS OF LIGHTING. FEW DESIGNERS RIVAL OWENS IN RADICAL VISION OR UNWAVERING PURPOSE.“

FEW DESIGNERS RIVAL OWENS IN RADICAL VISION OR UNWAVERING PURPOSE.“

Thank you @forbes!
@stuartahlum and I came up with this crazy idea to try and make recyclable clothing when we were 25 & 26 – and now 4 years later we’re building against that dream with @thousand_fell while working towards a new system where ALL clothing waste can be recycled. Circularity is the future – and we are leading it 👊💫
Thank you SO MUCH to the entire TF Team, friends, and mentors who have been with us throughout this journey. We launched this business into Covid and would not be here today without your awesome support as we work to build a better tomorrow and end global textile waste.
Really excited to share this and really pumped up about the @thousand_fell team’s newest tagline – 🍾♻️ BIG RECYCLING ENERGY 🍾♻️
