3 darkroom prints from The Format’s evening spent at Mission Ballroom.
1. Collodio Chloride on slice of agate rock
2. Opaltype on broken glass
3. Cyanotype on found postcard
I’ve been listening to these albums for 20 years. To see them reunite on stage this week was a treat for my teenage self and even more so for my 32 year old self. Grateful to have been able to take some photos and hide in the crowd for the night.

• Shooting a floppy disk camera and printing the images back onto itself •
0.85megapixel camera, shooting 100kilobyte sized photos, and getting printed onto the 1.44megabyte floppy disks that once stored the images.
Trying to give electronic waste a second chance at being a useful storage solution again. In order to see the print through the plastic, I had to remove the inner storage pieces, also ending its data bloodline. This is the last image it will ever host.

Ran out of venues to see them play so now we’re seeing them on the streets.

🎞️ Kodak 400TX + cross processed Polaroid 200 (2001) ((12frames per roll))
🧪7 month old Molded Weed Trim
-
7 months ago I soaked a pile of outdoor grown weed trim in boiling water for 48 hours and jarred it up to use as as a film developer. When I finally opened it up today to mix it up I found it had grown itself a nice little colony of floating mold spores. So I put the spores to work and now we have these developed negatives.
Most of these are shot from my bicycle to and from work. There’s a roll of Kodak 200 gold that was developed in this same batch that looks like absolute dog shit so it’s not being shown here.
Seeing how nicely the Polaroid film was able to be cross processed and treated like black and white film was truly a beautiful surprise. I bought 24 rolls of it off Craigslist for $30. I was unaware Polaroid even made 35mm film.
Trying to shake off the winter dust of not shooting or developing anything for the last 5 months.

We are closing our art show this Friday with a party at MCHC..
I’ll be accepting offers on the remaining hanging pieces to cover some semi-emergent cat-related late-night vet costs this week. You’ll have until the end of the weekend to check out everything David and I made in person. Swing by and eat chicken, touch art, and drink libations; in whatever order makes the most sense to you.
