A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this project such a success, it's fantastic to see the scheme recognised at this level.

🏗️ Project Update – ‘Press House’ – Located on Beresford Street, Woolwich

We are pleased to announce that Phase 1 of our Press House PBSA development in Woolwich has successfully reached Practical Completion this week, ahead of schedule.
This represents a significant milestone in our dual‑phase scheme delivered in partnership with our valued client team: Q Investment Partners, Hurlington Capital, and GAMUDA.

Phase 1 delivers 299 high‑quality student homes, a mix of studio and cluster apartments arranged across thirteen floor plates.
The ground floor provides a suite of modern amenity spaces designed to enhance the students experience, including private study rooms, a games room, and a fully equipped gym/yoga studio.
In addition, Level 9 features an external communal terrace offering views over the River Thames and Lower Docklands Area .

This project has not been without its challenges. Located along a dual carriageway and operating with limited onsite storage, the team had to optimise every aspect of the construction sequence with careful and detailed planning and collaboration with our contractors and suppliers.
To overcome some of these constraints we developed a plan where a Tower Crane would initially sit on ballast to complete the slipform core, the crane was then re located to the top of the newly completed stair core, enabling us to maximise site efficiency, free up essential working space, and maintain smooth logistical operations throughout the build.
Reaching this stage is a testament to the hard work, collaboration, and dedication of the entire project team including our trusted suppliers and sub-contractors.

We look forward to completing the remaining 120 beds in Phase 2 in the coming months.

We’re delighted to showcase the completed project photos from The Rex in Kingston-upon-Thames.

The scheme involved the redevelopment of an existing student accommodation building to deliver 210 co-living units, while retaining the ground floor commercial spaces, including the CEX and KFC retail units, and creating new commercial space, extensive communal areas, and E-class co-working facilities.

The development incorporated the reuse of elements of the existing substructure and superstructure, supporting a more efficient and sustainable redevelopment. Notably, this scheme is the UK’s first co-living development built to BREEAM Outstanding.

It’s fantastic to see this project reach completion, and we’re proud to have played a part in bringing it to life. A huge thank you to everyone involved in delivering The Rex!
