Got around to photographing our work for @ultradynamico one of the most fun and creative projects we’ve had the pleasure of working on.

We’ve been obsessed with 1-bit design lately. Limited inputs. Binary logic. Patterns that emerge from contrast and constraint. The perfect system for a rider like Greg Van Avermaet.
We built a custom generative system inspired by Conway’s Game of Life, a modular pattern machine that let Greg’s logo evolve through logic and repetition.
Each glyph could be rearranged, multiplied, and set in motion. That modularity became the engine behind the design.
Huge thanks to @smithoptics for commissioning us to make something for a true legend of the sport.

You start a creative business, thinking you’re in the driver’s seat—making decisions, taking risks, navigating the journey. But then, over time, you realize: maybe you’re not the ones driving anymore.
Our son, Anders, has been with us since the beginning, watching and learning. Now, we’re the ones watching him. He’s creative directing and designing branding for high school clubs, including the Art Club, and he’s a member of @cityoflakeoswego Youth Leadership Council. You can even spot him in the second image at a City Hall meeting, collaborating with city leaders—including his mentor, Mayor Joe Buck.
And as much as we’re thrilled to be in the back seat for his ride, we’re still here for hire—working with companies big and small, on projects both large and sometimes hard to describe. After 10 years in business, we’ve added new skills, offering social, verbal, and film content to help shape your brand for today’s world.
Through all the twists and turns, one thing has stayed the same: Anders has been in the passenger seat with us, every mile of the way. 🧡

10 years ago, a spark ignited! Back then, it was just two mid career players with big ideas and even bigger hearts. Fast forward to today, and that dream has blossomed into Central Office, an independent studio for film and design.
But our story goes deeper than a decade. We’ve been bouncing ideas off each other and working together and (apart) over 20 years! Our journey began back in art school, where a shared passion for storytelling, design, and all things creative connected us.
Looking back, it’s incredible to see how far we’ve come. From our beginnings to the community of clients and collaborators we have today, it’s truly been a rollercoaster ride of laughter, learning, and pushing ourselves to see if there is more.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey: from our supportive families and friends to our incredible clients and partners. It means the world to us, and we can’t wait to share what the next chapter holds! ✨
We’ve been working with Giovanni Simoncelli on some illustrations that chart the last decade of work as a studio and a peek into what’s in store for the future of Central Office! Thx @giovansim 🤌
