Looking for a way to make the most of your summer break?

❗❗Applications are officially OPEN for the Teen Coalition for Chinatown’s Summer 2026 season! ❗❗

As the rest of Chinatowns across North America shrink due to downtown expansion, our Chinatown must proactively plan and advocate for a different future in the face of its newest upcoming neighbor, the 78 megadevelopment. To ensure that Chinatown benefits from this change, we must take action.

The Teen Coalition For Chinatown, a coalition of high schoolers from all across Chicago, is dedicated to building community power through education, engagement, advocacy, and coalition building.

The TeenCC’s application period is now open and is a great opportunity for those interested in advocacy, social justice, urban development/planning, and even those who are simply passionate about Chinatown. If you want to fill your summer with purpose, bond with community-oriented people from around the city, and gain real-world skills and experiences, this is your chance.

Applications are due by Friday, June 12th, at 11:59 PM. You can apply via our Google Form (linked in our bio and QR code). You can also learn more about the TeenCC through the info packet pinned on our page.

SUMMER ORIGIN IS HERE! 🎉

This summer, we will focus on BELONGING IN CHINATOWN. ✨

❤️ CBCAC's programing aims to impact anyone who feels like they belong in Chinatown: but what does that mean? How can we cultivate spaces of "belonging"? What does belonging look like to you? We will explore the themes of belonging, taking up space, and the identity of Chicago's Chinatown.

🎨 Projects will be art pieces that display what belonging looks like, what it feels like, or how it can be represented within our community.

📢 The 9 week programming is built for High School students who want to be more involved with Chinatown and build advocacy skills! We will meet on Saturdays from June 20th-August 22nd from 1pm-3pm in the CBCAC office. You can find the sign up form at the link in our bio!

💵 Up to $250 stipend available for completion
