Undescribed is back with its 11th edition, on view from 23 April to 30 August at Guoco Midtown Public Art Wall!
This year’s edition brings together five image-makers Cavin Lim (@cavibo_), Jay Lim (@jayyshoots), Lydia Koh (@laydio.art), Syed Abdullah (@syedabdullahalbar) and Zhixin Sheng (@zhixin_nn) — whose practices move fluidly between document, construction, object, and system.
Part of an annual platform supporting emerging artists based in Singapore, Undescribed continues to spotlight voices redefining contemporary image-making across photography and the moving image.
At a time when images are endlessly produced and quickly consumed, these works question the necessity of making images at all — exploring restraint, duration, and absence.

I am happy to share that I have a new work on display at Earl Lu Gallery, as part of a new show titled 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳.
𝗜 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 is a series of cyanotype prints and animation exploring memory and identity where the boundaries of facts and feelings blur. Fragmented memories collide with emotions and made sense through a sequence of images. The work uses past footages in an attempt to map visions that reside in my mind. These images form a love letter reflecting gratitude, worry, fear and other emotions I struggle to identify as they flicker in and out of me. These are images I hold close to me, yet I cannot make sense of.
