A focus on the 𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 publication, designed by Emma Burel @emmaburel. Emma carefully considered the project and the artists intentions, translating it visually for the graphic elements of the exhibition.
Camille, Charlotte, Julia and Natalija gathered together on Friday, February 6th, at 14h in the afternoon. A month and a half before the opening of their exhibition 𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩, they took an active moment in time to have a conversation about their process during the project. Flow through their thoughts, reflections and unfolding ideas as the conversation continues across the pages.
They were in the company of Emma and PC Malet, who took care of the production and scenography of the exhibition.
The beautiful publication is available at Komplot. It’s the final weekend to visit 𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩—open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 14:00–18:00.

🌀Upcoming Exhibition🌀
Komplot Brussels is proud to present 𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩, a duo exhibition with Ghent-based artist Natalija Gucheva and Antwerp-based artist Julia Tröscher, opening on March 19th at 18:00.
𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 explores the porous boundaries between our inner and outer ontology, looking at modes of imaging and imagining as active tools for accessing deeper parts of our emotional landscape. Through their video and installation practices, Gucheva and Tröscher engage in a meditative methodology, bringing about a potentially healing process by tapping into suppressed emotions and memories. Taking the intimate and the personal as a starting point, the exhibition simultaneously questions how internal messages speak to a wider collective context.
Presenting an immersive installation with video and sound elements at its core, the artists create a space for 𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 that invites the audience to relate to their work. How can the personal and universal come together? What can sensibility tell us?

𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘖𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘦
24.01–22.03.2026
Juli Bierich and mountaincutters, curated by CASTOR
We are very proud to present our first project as CASTOR. 𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘖𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘦 joins the practices of Antwerp-based artist Juli Bierich and Brussels-based artist collective mountaincutters. The exhibition runs from 24 January until 22 March 2026 and is presented at IKA Mechelen.
Our sincere gratitude is extended to Kunsthal Mechelen for supporting both this project and our curatorial collective, and to IKA for making their exhbition space available.
𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘖𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘦 examines the material, social, and cultural dimensions of decay and repair. By inhabiting moments of rupture, Bierich and mountaincutters approach vulnerability as a condition through which new forms of existence can emerge.
You are warmly invited to the opening of 𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘖𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘦 on 24 January from 16:00, featuring a live performance by Juli Bierich.
We hope to see you there!
Our best,
Camille, Daniel, and Karel
Made possible by IKA Mechelen, Kunsthal Mechelen, celador, The Green Corridor, and Vlaamse Gemeenschapscommissie (VGC).

During the workshop 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘊𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨: 𝘈 𝘛𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘣𝘰𝘹, led by Karel Op ’t Eynde and Camille Van Meenen, the Curatorial Studies participants developed a toolbox for collective governance grounded in empathetic and intimate methodologies. The process resulted in the publication 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙚𝙣 𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙨.
Referencing the French expression 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘰𝘪, the group shifted the focus, formulating tools built on shared trust.
Five chapters emerged from their collective references and contributions: listening, boundaries, vulnerability, conflict, and decision-making. Each chapter proposes guiding principles intended to support the participants in their Curatorial Studies trajectory and future curatorial work.
Starting from the premise that curating is not only a public act, but also an emotional and relational one, the workshop considered how informal and often invisible aspects of curatorial work can be acknowledged and valued.
Thank you to all of the CS participants for their motivation — the outcome would not have been the same without your thoughtful input!

A little throwback to 𝘕𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘰𝘯𝘴, 𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴, 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘴
As an intermezzo to the dinner, Ani Ekin Özdemir read out the poem 𝘴𝘯𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘯 (𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘮). She wrote it specifically for this evening, influenced by the collaboration, the setting of gathering, and the meal served.

Yesterday, @thibaud_leplat and @camille_vm, curators at Komplot, were invited by @cascoleuven to meet some of the residents for studio visits.
Around midday, they gave a talk presenting Komplot, their roles, and missions, as well as the projects they’ve been developing within the collective since the past year.
A huge thank you to @cascoleuven, @zuzannarachowska, and @arthurcordierarthur for the warm welcome and inspiring day!
We’re also grateful to everyone who joined us for the talk, and to the artists @miekewinters_, @boons.polien, @car0lel0uis, @joris_perdieus, @feta_kuti, Lieselotte Vloeberghs, and @joe.palfra for sharing their work throughout the day!

It’s been a little over a month since Brussels was sprouting with energy. I’m very happy to announce that I’ve joined @rendezvousbxl - Brussels Art Week as project coordinator.
What a meaningful whirlwind it has been!
Thank you @lauredcc and @evelyn_simons for the trust and warm welcome! Onto next year; I can’t wait to see what comes along our path and what we get to create and experience together.
