If you know me, you've heard about @haarfilm plenty. It's a gorgeous little indie feature shot on 8mm (not a typo) that we took to the BFI London Film Festival in October 2023.

As fun as it was to show it at the @princecharlescinemathere's still a bit more work to be done, but once those final tweaks are made, I can't wait for you to see it!

Getting on with the first proper cut of this weird little short film. Flip books are now my favourite way to receive storyboards.

Last year, the team over at @leapingfoxfilms got in contact about editing a feature documentary about life in the Cotswolds, checking in with a cast of characters over the course of a calendar year. It was a pretty daunting task going into all that footage with only a loose outline for the story; I’m used to working with a script for structure, but doc editing is a very different beast. I’m happy to say that after a great deal of syncing, sorting, cutting and re-cutting, today we officially locked the edit! Hats off to the whole team for getting some incredible material, I couldn’t be more proud of the final product and I can’t wait for people to see it.

Been a big couple of months! From moving house, seeing @bloodbuzz_film at @deadnorthernofficial , and powering through the edits for @spookyblanketproductions and @cotswoldsfilm

Got an interesting project in the pipeline that I'm sure I'll start posting about imminently, but that's bubbling away in the background for now.

Burley, as always, is the best.

Took a day drip to Manchester last week for the @indiehorrorsoc Indie Film Showcase. Saw some excellent work; horror is such a malleable genre and that's never clearer than when you watch thirteen short films back to back.

Special shout out to @thepizzamovie for its surprisingly pornographic pizza sequences, @bathbombhorror for its colourful use of prosthetic penises, and @nettledayfilm for successfully setting Wicker Man in a school. Not a single bad one of the bunch.
