Last week, CAA partnered with PENCIL, an organization that links community resources to Metro Nashville Public Schools, to present their annual fundraiser. This year’s event, which included performances from clients Thelma & James, Belle Frantz, and Iris Copperman, raised more than $315,000 that directly supports the PENCIL programs and services that benefit Nashville students.
 
“For more than 20 years, our partnership with PENCIL has built a bridge between the music industry and support for public education in Nashville, proving that when leveraging our convening power, real change follows,” said our colleague Karen Schillinger. “We’re proud to continue supporting the education and development of students who need it most by helping raise critical funds for metro public schools through this signature event.”

Our London Task Force organized a lunch-hour volunteer session in partnership with @calthorpecommunitygarden, where colleagues got hands-on with gardening, planting, and clean-up to support a true community oasis💚

Happy Earth Month from Munich! 🌎✨

Last week, our Munich Task Force turned sustainability into action with a hands-on initiative that made a real impact. In partnership with IRACI, we rescued 75 balance bikes that were at risk of being discarded and gave them a second life. 🚲

The bikes were donated to 13 nurseries and kindergartens, helping introduce sustainable mobility from an early age! 💚

The band is back together, and the mission is stronger than ever! At a special legacy event in Los Angeles, Communities In Schools (CIS) brought together alumni, educators, partners, and champions to celebrate nearly 50 years of impact and to look ahead to what’s next.

The evening unfolded like a symphony honoring the relationships that built CIS, uplifting powerful stories of impact today, and casting a bold vision for the future.

💙 Because at its core, CIS has always been about one thing: Showing up for students — one relationship at a time.

From inspiring alumni voices to leaders across education, philanthropy, and beyond, one message rang clear: Every student deserves a caring adult in their corner, and it takes all of us to make that possible.

✨ As we approach our 50th anniversary, we’re not just celebrating how far we’ve come — we’re building what comes next.
