Vanaf mijn 18e droeg ik clip-ins of extensions, omdat mijn haar van nature heel fijn is. Ik dacht dat langer en voller haar me vrouwelijker maakte, zelfverzekerder, misschien wel mooier.
Maar het mooiste wat ik heb gedaan, is stoppen met verstoppen wie ik van nature ben.
Sinds m’n eerste zwangerschap draag ik mijn haar puur zoals het is, inmiddels kort, fijn, maar helemaal van mij. Ik vind het best leuk om voor fotoshoots of speciale gelegenheden te spelen met langer haar maar niet meer voor alledaags.
En eerlijk? Ik voel me vrouwelijker dan ooit.
