「 TAZM-O Rotate 」 🔄 MonoPoly inspired rotating of the TAZM-O’s Sub-1, Sub-2, Saw and Shape outputs to create a unique lively bass sequence.

The TAZM-O’s Sub-1, Sub-2, Saw and Shape (set to a pulse wave) outputs are each patched to the 4 inputs of the Tangle Quartet with the first 4 outputs of Pamela’s PRO Workout patched to consecutively open the associated VCA’s. The Pam outputs are each set to a square wave with 25% width and a 25% phase offset from one another, producing sequential switch like rotation. The filter is then closed and a 5 step sequence from the QUAID MEGASLOPE is patched to the V/Oct input of the TAZM-O, uniquely interacting with the octave and waveform shifting in the rotated outputs. A triangle wave LFO is patched to modulate the pulse width of the shape output for further timbral movement. Finally, the first 4 Pam outputs are changed to triangle waves, turning the sequential switch like rotation into a smooth sweeping morph through the TAZM-O outputs. 🌊

「 TAZM-O + TAZM-O 」🧬 Complex cross and self modulating TAZM-Os with both TZFM & AM to produce a wide range of interesting tones.

👉 A pair of TAZM-O’s are set up like 2 synth voices, with only the right voice audible.
👉 The shape output of the left TAZM-O is patched through a channel of the Beast’s Chalkboard (adding a 2V offset) then patched to the Level CV in of the right TAZM-O.
👉 Envelope modulation is increased to the shape output level resulting in dynamic AM.
👉 The Sub-1 output of the left TAZM-O is patched to the right’s TZFM input and modulated via another Pam envelope to the FM Index.
👉 The direct sine output from the left TAZM-O is mixed in, layering it in as a second melodic voice.
👉 The Saw output of the right TAZM-O is cross patched back to the left’s TZFM input and dynamically modulated by another envelope.
👉 Finally, the right TAZM-O’s saw output is self patched to it’s own Shape CV input to audio rate modulate the waveform selection.

「 Pam x1 」Clocking Pamela’s PRO Workout at x1 PPQN with an ASQ-1 sequence to create a completely random Castle setting each time a note is triggered. 🪄

🔵 The ASQ-1 is started, sequencing a dual oscillator Akemie’s Castle melody. Pam’s PPQN is set to x1, with all outputs set to produce x1 random waves. The gate out of the ASQ-1’s sequence is duplicated to the Clock input of Pam. At each note in the sequence, Pam’s 8 random signals are advanced due to the x1 PPQN setting. The outputs are patched to modulate most of the Castle’s parameters, resulting in a totally random sound for each note in the sequence.

The polyphonic gate outputs of a Keystep Pro are patched to the 4 trigger inputs of the Gigaslope, with the 4 slope outs patched to both the filter cutoff and VCA level of each of the 4 synth voices. The Gigaslope’s 4 slopes are all set identically to run in Envelope mode with a range of 13 total stages. As the Level and Time controls are increased a one of a kind polyphonic multistage envelope emerges, with 4 voices triggered by playing the keyboard. The slopes are set up to produce rhythmic multitap echo like repeats with multiple continuous decay stages chained together as well as a slow rise stage, simulating reversed transient sounds. Finally, the End of stage (EOS) output is enabled and patched to trigger 4 independent random voltages from Pamela’s PRO Workout, for stepped modulation of the 4 filter cutoffs directly following the stages.

「 MFD STEREO VCA 」Using the MFD as a stereo VCA by connecting a stereo source to the B inputs and an envelope to the X Fade CV input. 🪄

The two oscillators of Akemie’s Castle are patched as a stereo pair to the B inputs of the MFD (with the A inputs left unpatched). With the crossfader now functioning as a stereo level control, an envelope from the Pip Slope is patched to the X Fade CV input, to create a stereo VCA for the Castle synth voice.🏯

「 Crumbular CV 」💫 Assigning CV to numerous parameters of the MFX’s ‘Crumbular Echo’ to produce otherworldly granular time shifts.

A sparse drum beat from the Squid Salmple is patched to the MFX for processing through its ‘Crumbular Echo’ engine, a one of a kind granular echo. Using the AXON-1 expander, 4 CV sequences from the QUAID GIGASLOPE are assigned one by one to the Time, Spray, Size, Variance, Feedback, High cut and Low cut parameters of the echo. A slow trapezoid wave LFO from Pamela’s PRO Workout is then assigned to the MFX’s wet/dry mix, creating brief spikes of the heavily modulated granular echoes. 🥐

The suggested ‘Three Voice FM’ system features two powerful FM modules, highlighting our tried and true Akemie’s Castle dual VCO and our new FMco. The Akemie’s Castles uses ‘new-old-stock’ Yamaha IC’s for audio signal generation giving the module an authentic, vintage sound, while the new FMco, our 2-operator FM voice implements an ‘Akemies’ inspired synthesis DSP tuned for more immediate playability and a more modern sound. In combination these two modules offer users quick and fun FM synthesis exploration. Both modules feature 8 wave shapes and chord generation providing tons of harmonic opportunities. The ‘Three Voice FM’ suggested system also features Pamela’s PRO Workout and the mmMidi for powerful modulation and sequencing.

「 Pam’s Disco 」🪩 @mumdance performing with a 9U 52HP ALM system synced to a pair of CDJ’s via the recently released Pamela’s Disco.

A kick and clap pattern are sequenced with the ASQ-1 and the new FMco is used to create a short melodic loop, sequenced by the Quaid Megaslope. The live 4x4 techno loop compliments the two more syncopated grime and electro tracks playing from the CDJ’s, with mutes, octave shifts and changes to the FM ratios performed alongside the tracks.
