In this hand sewing class, you will bring along a piece of clothing that needs some love, and Mattie will help you to design and begin your mend or embellishment, using lots of inspiring samples and books, you will work together to find the right mend for your piece.✂️

Exeter Comedy Festival I’m doing my newest show on June 7th - TWO STRING AND PAINT TINS: How To Do Character Comedy (it was called how NOT to do etc but my fragile self esteem couldn’t take a joke)

it’s a WIP show with tons of new materials and some japes and heartfelt joshing about how wearing a mask onstage is a pretty curious way of trying to connect with people but sometmes, it’s because a trickily wired brain has found a way. I’m still reluctant to speak up too much about ADHD and autism because there are people in my life who don’t believe those things exist so I’m keeping a low profile. Mayb the CBT course I’m doing in inproving awful self esteem next month will see me speaking more candidly. Until then, you can see my drawing I did in @robinince1969 excellent book ‘Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal’ available at all great bookshops.

Then Bunyip workshop on Saturday 8th June, I’m doing a gorgeous book event with the mighty Robin Ince and mighty Josie Long that evening and on Sunday, a character comedy gentle chat and workshop with the wonderful Rosalie Minnett, fellow character comedian who is brilliant and hilarious.
