PARTICK THISTLE. ONE TEAM IN GLASGOW.

In Glasgow, football isn't just a game—it's a religion. And for 150 years, one small club has offered sanctuary to those seeking an alternative faith. After seven years in Scotland's second tier, the 2024/25 season promised to be different for Partick Thistle. With a boosted budget and renewed ambition, Thistle were finally favourites to win promotion back to the Premiership. The club opened their doors to a film crew expecting to document a long-awaited title triumph. Through unprecedented access to players, management, and the fans and volunteers who are the club's lifeblood, this series explores the beautiful futility of supporting the underdog.

Directed by multi-Emmy nominee Sam Neave (The Jinx) and Exec Produced by Academy Award winner Charles B Wessler (Green Book), this is the story of one team in Glasgow and their fanbase.

All episodes now available on STV Player.

EMMA WASSELL: LAOCH

Emma Wassell: Laoch is a powerful and deeply moving story of resilience, loss and the unbreakable spirit of a warrior.

When Scotland international Emma Wassell is diagnosed with a 27cm tumour in her chest, her world is turned upside down. At the same time, she is navigating the devastating loss of her mother - facing a battle that stretches far beyond the rugby pitch. With her future in the game uncertain, the film follows Emma through her darkest moments and the long, gruelling road back.

Through intimate access and raw, honest storytelling, Laoch captures a journey of grief, courage and determination. From life-changing surgery to the painstaking process of rehabilitation, guided by Scottish Rugby’s medical team, Emma must rebuild not only her strength, but her belief that she can wear the Scotland jersey again.

Named after the Scottish Gaelic word for “warrior”, Emma Wassell: Laoch is an inspiring reminder that even in life’s toughest battles, hope, connection and resilience can carry you through.

ULTRAS

Smoke bombs, pyrotechnics, balaclavas and punch-ups - welcome to the world of the football Ultras. Inspired by European terrace culture, a new generation of young fans are making themselves heard inside, and outside, stadiums across the country.

But is there more to the social media driven sub-culture that has swept through Scottish football for the past decade? Are Ultras a menace or a force for good in a game searching for relevance in a corporate footballing landscape?

All three episodes are now available to watch onBBC iPlayer.
