(storytime) community has been a huge theme of this last year for me. although my career has gone crazy and grown to heights i never imagined, i struggled a lot in my personal life with relationships. I always have though. I’ve been hyper independent since i was a kid and i’ve always just worked. i don’t really know anything else. only up until recently have i had the bandwidth and grace to fully try to have friends. i want to extend a special thanks to @reeseabarrett. NYC has been lonely, and a lot of my life in general. But she traveled all the way to NY to spend a week with me and it wasn’t super complex, wasn’t a crazy week, but just a time we could spend together and idk if there’s another fonder memory i have. that week has kept me going more than most other things. i have never felt more loved.
5. i’ve always been a tradition person and i have a lot of joy in privacy. this video of me dancing to Charm by Clairo. I lost my job abruptly, my SURVIVAL job, during my first year in the city. And i coped by going to central park, sobbing, and listening to Charm. i do that every year now, and it’s my very first tradition i made here.
6. i usually spend my birthday alone, but this birthday, i got to spend it surrounded by people i love for the first time in my life.
