🚨🚨 DJ Announcement: Sunday 7th June - 2-8pm - Russ Dewbury

After the last two epic sell-out parties with Patrick Forge and Jamz Supernova, the Brighton Sundae train just keeps on rolling...

On 7th June we have the one and only @russdewbury back for an afternoon of sunshine tunes on the terrace (come on, weather!).

Russ is a Brighton Sundae favourite. This will be his third appearance, and there's a reason why we just keep asking him back.

He's a Brighton legend, creator of the Jazz Rooms (which in its time was the longest running club session in the world) and the Jazz Bop, which brought incredible names to town - Pharaoh Sanders, The Roots, Art Blakey, Cinematic Orchestra, Roy Ayers... You name 'em, Russ booked' em.

Russ's career in music has included managing Terry Callier, putting out huge compilations, working with Mr Bongo records and Gilles Peterson, and supporting Al Green and Manu Chao.

Thanks as ever to all the staff at @patternsbtn for looking after us, and most importantly thanks to all of you for living up to our tag as "the friendliest dancefloor in Brighton". Incredible vibes on both floors!

We do this all for the love, we prioritise keeping it affordable over making any money, and we put many many hours into creating these parties. But we'll keep doing it as long as you all keep turning up and dancing!

Jazsta and Idris are part of the Brighton Sundae resident DJ crew... Both incredible selectors as well as Sundae veterans....

@jazsta_ always brings a perfect recipe to the dancefloor - a rich blend of neo-jazz, electronic, Latin and Afro sounds. With a background in community and events, she used to createing inclusive, high-energy spaces where people connect, move and feel part of something. We can't wait to hear her tunes on the main room syatem at Patterns.

@idris_fertout is a West London based vinyl collector, a staple at Open Deck Sessions and a resident at London's Backgammon and Wax. Idris brings eclectic taste and deep crate energy to every set, with a blend of hip hop, jazz, Brasilia, Afrobeat, soul, funk, broken beat, electronica and disco. Whether he's spinning classic breaks or downtempo grooves, Idris remains focussed on the core pillars of the culture: peace, love, unity, sharing good tunes and most importantly, keeping it fun!

@jazsta_ always brings a perfect recipe to the dancefloor - a rich blend of neo-jazz, electronic, Latin and Afro sounds. With a background in community and events, she used to createing inclusive, high-energy spaces where people connect, move and feel part of something. We can't wait to hear her tunes on the main room syatem at Patterns.

@idris_fertout is a West London based vinyl collector, a staple at Open Deck Sessions and a resident at London's Backgammon and Wax.
