It's my parent's wedding anniversary. My mom saw her one of a kind dress go into a dress shop windows she passed going to work. After explaining my dad had not yet proposed, the shop owner said they would hold it for 2 weeks. She was being fitted into it when JFK was shot. As Mom took the dress off and all the women in the shop were in tears-she quietly thought this gave her a bit more time to get it. She flatly refused any other dress. I never did get the story of how Dad proposed but I got the dress story. They did go to a friend (who Mom dated!) to design the rings.I have not been told what's happened to their rings. I have not been told where their ashes are.fully know they are not their ashes. This remains one of the cruelest acts of my aunt. The veil from this day has been likely shoved into a box and waiting to be reunited with me.The dress was lost to grief motivated destruction my mom could not undo.
We're taught to keep going.I've literally lost 2 years with this grief of the incomprehensible damage and cruelty of my aunt's choices--everything my Dad fought to protect me from. There's silence from a man I trusted, who promised the world then maybe just musings then maybe just a supportive friend then poof. Albeit brief, it was an intense trusting time during holidays and it's left a wound. It's not in my dna to focus on the red flags likely due to my parents positivity despite going thru such immense loss. 5 miscarriages, a foster baby adoption falling thru, cancer, mom constantly hospitalized and my Dad's 67 days in ICU to make it home. They were remarkable, creative, musical, imaginative, resilient, hard working people. My dad was a Saint. His patience was rarely pushed too far. He wrote a book that my mom had typed up and bound as a real book as a Christmas surprise. That is likely lost forever too; my mom kept everything and I knew the value of all. So remains their steadfast daughter trying her best, fighting for the right side of history and supporting local art. Thank you to those who have stood by me and helped in so many ways.

Deeply touched to learn that Julie is honored & represented at multiple Altars now up around town to pay tribute & remembrance to the dearly departed of our community for All Saints/Dia de Los Muertos. You can see her at the altars at the Healing Center, Fete Gede, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art.I know this would mean a lot to her & it truly brightens my soul to see her revered & beloved in this manner. Please visit these if you can… and hold a special thought and feeling for my girl today! ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🔥 Big thanks to Bridget Fenlason, Cree McCree & Daniel Winkert for sending me the photos, Bridget for placing Julie at HC, and Philip Cooper for his beautiful portrait of her…

Lucky to have the moment we met captured thanks to a unique sighting! In true Larn fashion he pitched an entire storyline of an ant second line by the mates of the gecko. From this moment on, every day finds a bit of Larn in it.I miss our talks and our time. It was harshly halted.I truly would like to have journeyed on the path ever so beautifully mused over... We had another recorded moment of the heart that got deleted as mysteriously as it was captured. What mattered was theactions. The other bits just trampled over the lotus in the mud. 💔rare to find it at all. Muses invest into dreams too. Tbh
