Meet one of our newest Board Members, Laura Duda, Ed.D!

Dr. Duda is Vice President of Strategy and Engagement at Stark State College, where she leads the College’s external strategy and engagement with regional employers, workforce and economic development organizations, governmental and business leaders, and community partners. In this role, she helps advance innovation, workforce alignment, student success, and regional economic impact.

Prior to joining Stark State, Dr. Duda had a distinguished career in corporate communications. She spent a decade with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer. In that capacity, she led global internal and external communications strategies supporting nearly 70,000 employees across 47 countries, as well as community engagement.

Dr. Duda brings extensive expertise in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, workforce development, higher education partnerships, and regional economic development. Her experience leading at both a global enterprise and regional institutional level will provide valuable perspective and leadership to Bounce Innovation Hub as it continues advancing entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic growth throughout Northeast Ohio.

The Community & Events Coordinator owns the day-to-day execution of event and public conference room rentals at Bounce and provides public-facing community support across The Generator.

Bounce is now accepting applications for the second cohort of the Synthe6 Materials Accelerator, a 12-month commercialization program designed to support high-potential polymer and advanced materials startups through weekly workshops; expert mentorship; direct access to industry leaders, corporate partners, and technical resources; and $25,000 per startup in non-dilutive funding.

Tyron is the founder of Video 306, based in Akron, Ohio. He is a creative and business-minded marketing leader who blends writing, video production, and strategy to help mission-driven organizations communicate clearly, build trust, and drive action. He is a graduate of the University of Akron and an alumnus of Leadership Akron Class 39.
