Meet Brambleback Hallux, the Shadowfoot, one of the 13 playable characters of the upcoming co-op board game Song of the Wildkin.

"Brambleback was not raised on the streets, but rather, under them. They learned to survive in the sewers of Jengold, living on scraps and a healthy dose of wit. With a sense of humor as sharp as their quills, Brambleback moves in silence that makes fellow students prone to jump. While quills make them less huggable, they do become a handy source of weapons, and they have turned what could be considered a negative into a positive. A fast learner, Brambleback was caught trying to sneak ticketless into a theater by a Valleywide Hammer who recognized a unique talent and presented Brambleback to the Council to become a Wildkin. Although they’ve been sneaking in the back of Chisel training classes, they haven’t officially declared a choice."

Meet Squeezewack Swiftail the Longeye, one of the 13 playable characters of the upcoming co-op board game Song of the Wildkin.

"Hitting targets from afar requires nerves of steel, hawk-like vision, knife blade precision and reflexes faster than shadows. Squeezewack easily claims almost three of those attributes. Ever on-edge and nervous, Squeezewack will forever be remembered for jumping on top of Hammer Wildmane when a fellow student sneezed during a test. While some may use the words jittery or tightly wound, Squeezewack prefers the phrase 'Ready for Action', with their tail grasping the next arrow before the first has flown."

"More comfortable with their face in the water than their feet on land, some saw Jubleth as a strange outsider, but the Mystics saw an amazing mind. Jubleth always had a natural ability to pull essence from the surrounding environment and reshape it as needed, a talent they display by maintaining a water hat to be comfortable on dry ground with their head in the air."

"I, my friends, am Honoria, merchant extraordinaire, dealer of fine goods, finer foods and the finest of stories. Your defeat of those foul misguided woodbeasts shall be woven into the next tales I sell. I mean tell. Yes.”

Honoria pulls off her backpack. Barkleby taps quickly over and stretches tall legs straight to form a table in front of her. Honoria unfurls her backpack over the log’s body, revealing a portable apothecary shop, with bottles, bowls and clusters of fragrant herbs on display, all strapped in place. Somehow, a small brazier on the table is already burning pungent incense.

"Jaspen is so patient, they watched a leaf turn wet with dew and then dry in the sun over the day to learn the ways of water. When almost run down by a wild six-legger carriage, their breath never even quickened as they slipped out of its path and subdued the woodbeast. Jasper is able to quell wounds and heal sickness by asking the wind to take the pain away. The wind listens. Soft spoken, never raising tone, some say Jaspen’s father was the wind itself. This is obviously not true. That was Jaspen’s uncle."

The Giggling Glade is well known to all the storied of Valleywide, and even more so to their Wildkin who spend many hours here during their studies. Not to study building and fighting like the Chisels do, nor the deep secrets of nature that the Mystics unwind. But this is where all Wildkin work to find their art, be it poetry, painting or song. It’s a warm, beautiful and peaceful place tended by the fairies and kept in balance by unwritten treaty and unspoken agreement.
