This is a very important scene in the game, where you want to go home but have to fight your way back through a parallel dimension against an evil ai. You’re nearly there, one last battle to win.

This track was one of the earlier layouts for the game. Since we knew right from the start where we want to place it, it became a little narrative music centrepiece for this level in INDUSTRIA 2.
Combining different sample and re recording techniques with choirs and fragile string textures, trying to create a big abstract room while keeping its vulnerability.

Music for INDUSTRIA 2. This one will be the menu track when starting the game. It’s a 6min piece where I tried to get as much facets of the story in as possible. It’s also one of the tracks with guitar parts. It’s been a while since I wrote music with and on the guitar and always nice to see that the chord progressions I come up with are different from the ones from synths and other electronic devices

A little glimpse from the mixing session for the gameplay trailer for INDUSTRIA 2.

I couldn’t be happier to be part of such a great team and to have the freedom to experiment. For the trailer, I further developed an early demo in which the vocal melody and chords were laid out. In the final version, I layered a whole series of vocals and experimented a lot with string sounds because I didn’t want a clearly recognizable string ensemble, but rather a sound cloud that gives the synth pads a human/organic texture
