Today, I got the core feature set of my app fully functional and made the first end-to-end successful footage test. It wasn’t perfect, there’s still a LOT to tweak and revise, but I was so excited to reach this progress milestone that I made a little teaser video 🙂
There is a whole second theoretical pipeline around the base concept of “MP4 to RAW” and that is introducing intelligently-hypothesized chroma data. And that would REALLY put this in another league for color grading. I have ideas of how to accomplish this, but it would require a totally different architecture, so there’s a non-zero chance that this step would become a totally separate app 😅
