COVER REVEAL 🌌 USS CALLISTER

We are ecstatic to unveil the cover of the first official Black Mirror graphic novel, USS Callister, by the one and only @thebutcherbilly, who will be creating new covers for all the Black Mirror adaptations from Twisted Comics.

USS Callister launches for pre-order on @kickstarterthis month.

"When I was invited to create a brand new cover for a USS Callister comic book adaptation, my initial thought was that I didn't know if I still had it in me," says @thebutcherbilly. "[The episode USS Callister] in particular was close to my heart, since it was the one that actually had my work crossed over from merely internet fan art to actual production design props in the series. Back when they were still writing scripts for season 4, I was commissioned to create art meant to be spotted in set pieces like Robert Daly's office and apartment. I suddenly became part of the stories that first served as fuel to me, in the most Black Mirror way possible.

"Moved by that connection, I decided to revisit that episode, and some others that had the most impact on me. And that was when I realised the true power of the Black Mirror anthology. Each episode is a big bang. Every time you watch the intro breaking the glass of your screen, it ignites a whole new universe. New lore, concepts, characters, rules, connections. Keeps you intrigued for an hour until it restarts, and before you know it you're sucked into another wormhole. But the concepts there are so rich that you can't help but let it expand and worldbuild inside your mind, imagining new circumstances, situations, and points of view. Such ideas will not leave you that easily.

"It was under that light that I decided to take on the challenge to revisit that world, and the comic book media couldn't be more perfect for that. Excited for what's to come.“
