😊 What a journey of a lifetime this has been. I’m still a bit in disbelief.
I’m incredibly honored to have been involved with the Olympic debut of BMX Freestyle. The rebellious, underground, obscure passion I fell in love with as a kid, has progressed and evolved in so many directions. Seeing a portion of our fellow BMX riders put on a world stage of this magnitude has been surreal.
All that being said, I am proud to say the BMX spirit remains. These riders got on their bikes and explored what was possible, each in their own individual way. It was both inspiring and exciting. Seeing riders put vision over consequences is always fascinating. It’s something I’ll never become numb to, especially having experienced a bit of that myself. Respect beyond words.
🚲 To the riders: It was a pleasure and honor to get to witness the passion, progression, the ups & downs and more, through the several years leading up to this point. You probably realize you were a part of BMX & Olympic history. What you might not realize is that you have just lit the fire for future generations of riders who might have just seen BMX for the first time. 🌎
🖊 To my fellow judges: Thanks for all your hard work these past several years. All the meetings, seminars, emails, phone calls, travels, preparations, debates, contests and mind melting days have added up to an even deeper passion and respect for BMX. I’m lucky to be seated at the table with such great humans. 🙌🏼
Thanks for reading this and allowing me to share a bit of this unforgettable experience.
Thanks BMX.

Excitement, nerves, preparation, focus, experience, execution and awe. The Paris 2024 Olympic Games were a blend of all this and more.
As a member of the judging panel, it felt like a marathon in the years leading up to this. Yet, after the first rider dropped in, it felt like a vigorous sprint. The riders, team staff, judges, organizers, announcers and everyone involved put their max effort into creating this elite display of BMX. BMX is classified as an individual “sport” but this was a premier example of a team effort.
Beautifully done.
✍️ To the riders: Thanks for the amazing show, not just for us judges but for the world to watch. BMX can be ruthless, which makes your accomplishments that much more beautiful and satisfying. You have all dealt with your own physical, mental and personal setbacks during these past few years and rose above to become an Olympian. That’s incredibly inspiring. That’s something to remember anytime life throws you another battle, on or off your bike. You’re proof of the heights you can reach after you pick yourself up off the ground. Utmost respect. 🫡
✍️ To my fellow judges: It’s been an honor to share this duty with you. Early mornings, long days, late nights, all added up to this sense of honor. We’ve had many important and respectful conversations followed by intense focus and analysis…all fueled by passion for this thing called BMX + respect for those dropping in for each run. Thanks for your infectious dedication and friendship. 🤝
✍️ To my family: I love you. I see and appreciate all the support and sacrifices during this journey. Thanks for recognizing how important this is to me and the future of BMX. You guys make me feel like a gold medalist everyday. 🥇 ❤️
Thanks for reading this and allowing me to share a bit of this unforgettable experience. Additionally, thanks to everyone who watched and followed this journey. It’s been a wild ride. 🙏🏼

I love spots where simply “taking off & landing” is the “trick”. Times like these force you to focus on the basics of bike riding. ❤️
After some initial turbulence, I felt like I was flying First Class. 💺🥂

It was cloudy in Ohio this past Sunday. It matched the heavy hearted feeling I had when pulling up to Gremlin’s Celebration of Life.
There were many cars with BMX bikes on racks in the parking lot of the venue. It seemed to match the familiar scene whenever I’d meet up with Grem.
As everyone officially gathered - the sun came out minutes later. This seemed to perfectly match the energy Grem always brought to the session. He was usually the first one to get on his bike and grind the nearest thing he could find. To us, that’s our version of sunshine. Many of you know the feeling.
Everything matched the great stories and memories being shared about our inspiring and relentless friend.
Thanks to Grem and his beloved family, for bringing us together once again, like he always did. ❤️

I don’t recall the exact context of this video but know it was a collection of clips that didn’t have a home. Pre-IG and Pre-putting any bangers online.
Great times on all these “let’s go there and see what we can find” trips. ❤️

We’ve put ourselves through a lot but always for good reason. This reason:
There was a moment a few months ago that will always replay in my mind as a key clip in our highlight reel of our marriage.
It wasn’t overseas or on a beach. It wasn’t a fancy dinner or date night. It wasn’t a cool photo op. It was more pure than that.
We sat down in some chairs in our new backyard… We were “enjoying our mortgage” (aka - hanging out at home 😂) that evening. Our kids were running around like wild animals with their cousins- giggling, yelling, chasing- regular chaos.
Raquel casually reached for my hand and breathed a little sigh of relief.
“We have arrived” she said in the most proud tone of voice. 😊
That was it. That’s all that needed to be said as we both watched our kids be kids. Plain and simple.
Sure, there’s been more glamorous moments as society would rate them but, for me, this was “it”. A true smell-the-roses moment of a goal reached. A vision realized. The reason.
There will be many more challenges, hardships, goals, tears, inside jokes, laughter and beauty. A life like this requires teamwork and we have built that beautifully, page by page.
I love you. @raquellaellaella 💝

January 2026. Still realizing that short sleeves and sunshine (in January) is not normal…but a gift I’ve gladly accepted. If you ever catch me taking it for granted please put me in check. 😊

Got a message from @andrewbrady yesterday containing a pic of a new spot he found by his work.
That spot reminded me of a photo we shot long ago, so I went on a file search for the photo.
Amidst that photo hunt I went down a rabbit hole & found a bunch more photos Andrew shot over the years.
So… Here’s some rediscovered images 😊
The hundreds of hours of video we shot far outweighs the number of photos… but I still dig these.
Any time shooting photos, shooting video or shooting the shit with Andrew, is a pleasure. 🤝 🐗
